Hello, developers!
I can not belive this. The programms major feature is syntax highlighting and
it's doing it well.
But what about grammar errors highlighting like in MS Word or in OpenOffice ?
The current spell checker functionality is not suitable at all!
Maybe there is a normal spell checker that will highlight errors ?

All,
I've just updated it to 0.9.2.1, which fixes the bug reported earlier if the
variable name was badly used (the XML has already been corrected, so the bug
is not "visible" any more), but this release means that an infinite loop is
no longer possible.
The only other change is that the Show Unstable plugins option is now defaulted
to off.
If you've already updated to 0.9.2, there's no reason to update - 0.9.2.1 will
be on the automatic update within a couple of days unless any further bug
reports
come in.

Within the last couple of days I attempted to use the hex editor plugin with
both the ANSI & UNICODE Notepad++ v5.4.5 without success. This included several
different versions of the HexEditor plugin, including the latest. The problems
include: displaying the content of the wrong file (opened in another buffer),
displaying no contents, inability to scroll, inability to copy/paste, losing
the entire contents of the buffer, etc. It is so unstable on my system (a one
week old Windows XP SP3 system with all service packs in place), that it is
difficult to describe all the problems.

Given th pathetic mistakes Word's gramar checker makes (at least in french),
it would be interesting that SpellChecker could do something a little better.
Did you ask in the npp-plugins SpellChecker forum?

I just spent an hour diagnosing this problem: I recently got a second monitor,
so I could have coe on one and my browser page on another. Problem is the ftp
plugin doesn't seem to recognize mouse clicks on the second monitor, meaning
I couldn't (for instance) download files or rename files.
The workaround is: move notepad++ window to main monitor, load file, move
notepad++
back to second monitor.
All other applications and programs (including main notepad++) seem to recognize
mouse actions perfectly well in second monitor.

I'm not sure if this is the situation you guys are talking about, but you can
see the images and at last reproduce the issue yourself from the "test.txt".
I'm not a heavy code user but hopes help.
notepad++a.png shows my editor setup, the weird character and comparison of
other editors.

When I right click it has "Using X style" 1-5 and then five more clear styles
and then it has hide lines. Anyway to remove any of these things?
And also there appears to be no way to unhide any hidden lines at all other
than reloading the file. Either the option doesn't exist or it's invisible
just like those lines.
And also I can't find a way to search this forum for old threads. The search
function here searches for something completely else.

That unicode problem seems to happen only on lines longer than ~300 bytes, at
~100 bytes intervals. This looks like the "Bug with slicing UTF-8 text into
character fragments when there is a sequence of 100 or more 3 byte characters.
Bug #2780566" which should be fixed in Scintilla 1.79.

Make "Runtime Library" setting of this project as "Multi-threaded(/MT)" may
cure this problem.
This plugin is not compatible with current version of Notepad++.
