FACULTY POSITION OPEN The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at West Virginia University, College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, is seeking a RESEARCH ASSISTANT PROFESSOR with expertise in solid mechanics, with emphasis on micro-mechanics of composites and/or inhomogeneous media. A recent Ph.D. degree (or demonstrated expertise) in a closely related field is required. Experience with numerical modeling of material behavior is advantageous. The candidate will to work on several funded-research projects in the general field of materials modeling. Salary is commensurate with the candidate's experience and ability to contribute to ongoing as well as future activities. A one-year appointment is initially sought, with renewal contingent upon the availability of research funds. Send rsum and names, telephone, and e-mail of at least three references to Dr. Ever J.
