                            CALL FOR PAPERS


The third ARGENTINE SYMPOSIUM ON COMPUTING TECHNOLOGY (AST 2002) will be
part of the 31st International Conference on Computer Science and
Operational Research (JAIIO 2002), which will be held in Santa Fe,
Argentine, from September 9-13, 2002.

AST 2002 provides an open forum for researchers and developers from
academia
and industry worldwide to present and discuss their research on
computers
and their applications.

Submitted papers, previous acceptance, will be published in JAIIO 2002
Proceedings.

Papers on all aspects of Computing Technology are welcome. These
include,
but are not limited to:

* Real-Time Computing
* Computer Networks
* Operating and Distributed Systems
* Multimedia and human-computer interaction
* Computer-aided Design/Manufacturing
* Robotics
* Computer Simulation
* Digital Signal Processing
* Computing Practice and Applications
* Hardware architectures
Researchers, practitioners, tool developers and users, and technology
transition experts are all welcome.

IMPORTANT DATES

Paper Submission Deadline: April 24th, 2002
Notification of Acceptance: June 24th, 2002
Camera-ready papers due: July 15th, 2002


SUBMISSION OF PAPERS

We encourage the use of the English language. However, papers in Spanish
or
Portuguese are also welcome.  The material must be unpublished and not
under
submission elsewhere.

Prospective authors are encouraged to send their papers to the email
address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

In the e-mail body, in plain text, authors must include the following
information:
-       title of the paper,
-       name and affiliation of all the authors,
-       their e-mail addresses,
-       phone and FAX numbers,
-       an abstract of their contribution,
-       a list of keywords and at most two categories within which the
paper
should be evaluated.

The preferred format for electronic submission is PDF suitable for
Acrobat
Reader. Postscript with US Letter size pages and MS Word format (.doc)
will
also be accepted.

Papers including references, figures, tables, etc., should not exceed 12
pages in springer format, which can be found in
http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.
