Dear colleague: Enclosed following this message you will find the 2nd Call for Papers for the track on Modelling and Simulation Methodologies, part of ECMS'2006. A pdf-version can be downloaded from the track's website: http://scs-europe.net/conf/ecms2006/meth.html Please let me encourage you to promote this conference track as broadly as possible. I'd like also to suggest that you consider proposing a Special or Invited Session on some theoretical or application topic of your interest related to M&S Methodology, or encouraging a colleague of yours to do so. Kindly yours Sergio Junco METH'2006, part of ECMS'2006 TRACK CHAIR PROGRAM CHAIR Sergio Junco Fernando J. Barros Departamento de Electronica Dept. Eng. METH 2006 will bring researchers and professionals together in order to address and discuss recent developments on modelling and simulation methodologies (M&S) and their applications. M&S methodologies depend on the nature of the system under study, on the level of abstraction convenient to represent the problem stated on it, on the mathematical representations necessary to solve that problem, and on the kind of computer facilities and tools available to perform the simulation. Thus, the scope of this track covers theoretical and technical topics of M&S methodologies, as well as their role in application fields. Papers are welcome on the following: TOPICS: Continuous, Discrete, Switched and Hybrid Systems. Distributed Parameter Systems. Large Scale Systems, Order Reduction and Model Simplification. Numerical Methods, Formal Manipulation, Computer Algebra and Automatic Differentiation. Parallel & Distributed Simulation, Real-Time Simulation M&S Languages and Standards, Software and Tools, User Interfaces. Education. and APPLICATION FIELDS: Biomechanics and Prosthetics, Biotechnologies Biomedical Engineering. Agrotechnology and Food Industry, Chemical Engineering, Process Control, Nuclear Engineering. Computational Hydrology and Hydraulics. Computer Networks, Distributed Computer Control Systems,. Transportation Systems. Electronics, Electrical and Power Systems. Car Industry, Mechanical Systems, Robotics and Mechatronics. Meteorology and Weather Forecasting, Environmental Sciences. Please submit an electronic copy of your full manuscript (pdf or ps format) to the Track Chair above, with "ECMS 2006, METH Track" as your email's subject, clearly indicating the corresponding author. Submissions are accepted either in the final paper format or as double-spaced drafts of about 12-17 pages. For information on how to prepare final submissions, please visit the conference website at: http://www.scs-europe.net/conf/ecms2006/ or at http://www2.inf.fh-brs.de/ESM2006/. Submitting a paper implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and to present the paper, if it is accepted. Accepted contributions to the track will be included in the conference proceedings. Moreover, the authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an elaborated manuscript for possible inclusion in a special issue of an international journal. We look forward to receiving your paper(s) and to welcome you at the ECMS 2006.
