Further tests. i have tried switching to using `nodejs` as the
`query_server` albeit with little success. The verify install process still

Well `ldd` reports identical libraries - versions and all - in the VM for
the `couchjs` binary. So that does not seem to be the issue... running out

see if to compare the libraries in use between the two systems with `ldd`,

Nothing, it's a relatively fresh install. I will try it in a clean VM and
see if I get the same issue and report back.
