It should be c:\Windows\assembly\GAC (or c:\Windows\assembly\GAC_32, c:\Windows\assembly\GAC_64, c:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL - depending of type). This issue does not concerns dependencies from new (.NET 4.0) GAC.
