Re: NPNY: Prince Tour 2007

That's terrible. Not cool. I would have called my credit card company
and told them to dispute the claim and refund me the money because
you paid for a service that was not provided. I'm sure a lot of
others got left out in the cold with recent memberships just before
they closed up shop.

It would be nice to get advance notice of things, it seems like (as
always) it's on a whim he does things. I signed my girlfriend up
 for the
NPGMC on the last day it was up, of course didn't know the next day he
would decide to disband the site altogether.

2007-02-14 Thread Andrew Stanger
It was Valentine's Day? I forgot that part. I went and took some
friends. No performance - just a dj. And staring at prince talk to a
bunch of famous people - jay-z, star jones, tretch, lil kim, aston
kucher (I think - had no idea who he was at that time). a bunch of
computers with a demo of the site. I stole a poster off the wall for the
site. Pretty lame but at least it was free.

2001 - Prince launches a subscription service whereby fans are asked to
pay as much as $100 a year for online access to the rock impresario`s
songs and videos as well as VIP passes to Prince concerts and after-show
parties. Prince unveils his NPG Music Club at New York`s Studio 54.

Ahhh yes I remember this day well LOL

Ha! I remember that launch party! LOL

And that horrible horrible interface that the NPGMC had at first...
what was the name of the company that designed it? Tekadence or
something like that? S whack!

Moderator: Oddly enough that interface was the precursor to iTunes :-D
