The Iowa Department of Education is looking for a Transition Consultant to facilitate the development and improvement of state transition services. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in applied research, program development, professional development and other system activities to improve the success of youth with disabilities to live, learn and work in the community. The Iowa Department of Education has strong collaborative partnerships with Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation, the Iowa Developmental Disabilities Council, Iowa’s Parent Training and Information Center and other agencies. This partnership has sparked numerous state initiatives, thus the Department of Education is looking for a leader who wants to work in an innovative work culture.
