Hi ns-useres,
I would like to know how can I add RTS/CTS to the TKN 802.11e model for NS2_26.
I've tried by setting
RTSTHhereshold_ 0, but my simulation abort telling me something like:
(0) RECEIVING DATA!!!
(0) RECEIVING DATA!!!
(0) RECEIVING DATA!!!
...
I really need to know if it
Dear NS-users,
I'd like to know if it is possible to add RTS/CTS to the
TKN model of 802.11e for NS 2.26.
If it is possible, what do I have to do?
Thank you very much,
Michele
Hi ns users,
does anybody know what does it mean when a TCP packet is dropped and in the
trace file is indicated as RTR CBK?
Thanks a lot,

Hi NS users,
I'd like to know what does it mean in the trace file this thing:
D 12.020142136 _5_ RTR CBK 981 tcp 1500 [13a 1 0 800] --- [0:2 4194305:1
28 4194305] [494 0] 0 0
RTR CBK what kind of drop is?
It happens when the Access Point try to send in the wireless channell a high
bit
Dear NS users,
I'd like to understand how ns calculate the rtt in a TCP connection.
What the rtt_ variable state trace? It is the delay of the TCP packets + =
the delay of the ACK packets?
And it is expressed in s, ms
Please help me.
Thank you very much.

Hi NS users,
I remove RTS/CTS from MAC 802.11 (setting RTSThresh_ 3000) and now I often (but
not always)
receive this message:
Scheduler: Event UID not valid!
and the simulation stop.
Does anybody knows why and how to solve the problem?
Thanks a lot,
Michele
Hi Ns users,
does anybody if it is possible and how to disable the RTS/CTS in MAC 802.11?
Thanks a lot,

Hi NS users,
I have a question about Throughput in 802.11e model of TKN.
Why if I set a TCP flow with lower priority (prio_ 3) in 802.11e MAC it has a
higher throughput of the same flow
with 802.11 MAC?
I think that the throughput should improve only with high priority (0, 1, 2)...
Thank
Hi NS users,
I have a problem with 802.11e Model of TKN of Berlin.
If I set an Error Model for the wireless channel using Mac 802.11e, no one
packet is dropped in the trace file.
If I use the same simulation just changing MAC 802.11e with MAC 802.11 I see
that some packet get lost in the

Hi,
I would like to simulate a wired cum wireless scenario with 2 or more access
points: what do I have to add to the tcl file to make the handover possible?
Thanks a lot,
Michele
Hi,
I've noted that in NS version 2.26, the Pareto distribution only works =
in wired scenarios, but not in wireless scenarios.
Does anybody knows why and how to solve the problem?
Thanks a lot,
Michele
