hieee,
I am simulating AODV on ns-2. i want to see its animation, but NAM
only shows the movement of the node it does not show the traffic. if any one
knows about a tool which can help me in animating the wireless protocol
please do let me know.
Thanking in Advance

hieee,
the problem i'm facing is not directly related to NS-2 but its caused b'coz
of it so i'm posting it (coz someone else might hav faced it earlier.
i ran about 10 simulations in NS-2 and haved the .tr file with different
names. while doing so i didn't realize that the size of files was

hieee,
i'm working on MANETs (AODV). can anyone tel me
how to get the received signal power of a packet,
and how to get the distance between a mobile node and its neighbour at any
time?
i want to get the value of both these things at Network layer.

Hiee,
i've made some changes to AODV and when i run the simulation with three
nodes it works fine. but when i increase the nodes to 50 or if i increase
the simulation time, it gives me the segmentation fault. i just want to know
that is it because of less memory (RAM) that i'm gettin
Hieee,
DSR's routing metric is Minimum Hop, this means that if two routes are
discovered
to the destination the one with minimum hop count will be selected by the
destination
node. I'd like to know how is this feature incorporated in DSR i.e how r the
routes
compared before sending replies.
hieee,
i'm new to NS-2. i'm working on AODV. i'd like to know answers to few
questions, the questions may appear to b silly...but as i'm a novice kindly
help.
1) Are the Hello packets transmitted by all the nodes in the network or only
the nodes that are part of active routes?
2) Why is the
