Yes. Check chapter 23 of the Ns-2 manual: Mathematical support
and specifically the part about Random variables.
Ns has a considerably good random number generator.

Hi,
I am trying to modify the DSR code in the way that it caches the routes.
I am using version 2.1b9a
As far as I can tell, in the recv block, as soon as the packet is
identified to be for this node, the method handlePacketReceipt() is
invoked which does NOT cache the path in the source route
Hi all
please any one help me how to get position node in recv() of aodv
protocol... it is very important to me.. please help since long time
asked this question..
Thanks in advance..
IS IPv6 supported yet in NS2?
I need to send my traffics thru IPv6 protocol.
Or can anyone show me a way of editing existing protocol to an IPv6 Header
format?
I am having difficulty installing NS-2 and I was hoping someone may be able
to assist me...
I've downloaded the ns-allinone-2.2.9.3 tar file from Sourceforge and have
successfully completed installation of the latest version of cygwin. I've
begun building ns-2 and all of the prerequisite
heheh thanks Alaxandra for the kind reply, but now I seem unable to open
the log generated, I got out-ex2.nam tried to open it with Tgraph but got:
Trouble reading number from file (row 1, field 1) == V -t * -v 1.0a5 -a 0\n
ERROR: Cannot load the graph!
When opening the nam file, any ideas how
