[ns] About debug in NS2

2012-04-10 Thread James

Dear all,

I am new to NS2.

Now I have already add new protocols into NS2 and compiled it successfully.

And in some simple examples, it works well.

But problem occurred when I try to simulate some complicated situations.

It would give a error message of Floating point exception.

Any one could tell me that how could I debug my CPP code? Or any
suggestions?

I would search for some materials myself. But if anyone have related
experience , could you please share with me?

Thanks.

Brs,

James

[ns] How to simulate 802.16

2012-04-10 Thread vindhya

Hi,

Can anyone help me on how exactly to install the wimax patch onto
NS-2(found somewhere that ns2 doesnt support wimax without the patch).
http://ndsl.csie.cgu.edu.tw/wimax_ns2.php; doesnt work.

However http://www.lrc.ic.unicamp.br/wimax_ns2/; has some information on
it.
Did anyone try it?i m afraid if these changes would altogether damage the
existing one.

Thanks in Advance,
Vindhya.

[ns] impact of link up down on TCP flow

2012-04-10 Thread Bikash Nakarmi

Hi all

i am trying to up and down a link using Rtmodel.
through this link i would like to send CBR, VBR and TCP traffic.

here is the code:

$ns rtmodel Deterministic {0.02 0.050} $n2 $n5

after running the simulation, i dont see much TCP traffic , while CBR and
VBR are working perfectly.

can anyone tell me what the problem is.

please help me.

N.B

The deterministic on/off model is similar to the exponential model above,
and takes four parameters: [start time], up interval, down interval,
[finish time]. start time defaults to the start of the simulation, finish
time defaults to the end of the simulation. Only the interpretation of the
up and down interval is different; up interval and down interval specify
the exact duration that the node or link will be up and down respectively.
The default values for these parameters are: start time is [image:
$0.5s.$] from
start of simulation, up interval is [image: $2.0s.$], down interval is [image:
$1.0s.$], and finish time is the duration of the simulation.

[ns] wired cum wireless scenario no packet is recived at AGT

2012-04-10 Thread harpreet sandhu

Hi every one
I am simulating wired-cum-wireless using AODV +. But none of the packet is
recieved at AGT all are recived at RTR.. So packet delivery ratio results 0..
Can any one tell me how i can solve this i have to submit my thesis b4 31 april.

Thanks in advance
