[ns] Getting equal Tx and Rx ranges for a wireless simulation

2010-02-26 Thread johnadams986
Hi, I know that in ns2, the default Tx range is 250m and Rx is about 550m. Can someone tell me how I can achieve similar Tx and Rx ranges, say 100m? -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Getting-equal-Tx-and-Rx-ranges-for-a-wireless-simulation-tp27724976p27724976.html Sent f

[ns] Changing node transmission power?

2010-02-25 Thread johnadams986
Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to change the transmission power of a node during the middle of the simulation. For instance, I would start off with the power as 0.2W but then later at t=20, I want to change it to 0.15W. Is this possible? Thanks, John -- View this message in context: ht

Hi, Perhaps you forgot to set the routing protocol as AODV or DSDR. Posting your tcl code will help.. Regards, John Siddhesh123456 wrote: > > Hi All, > I am trying to form a network of 3 mobile nodes. > I want to send packet from node 1 to node 3. But when node 1 and node 3 > are out of tra

Re: [ns] Epidemic model in ns2?

Just in case, let me put it in another way. I am looking for different worm models in ns2. I guess one of them would be modeled after a popular epidemic model called SIR. Thanks, John johnadams986 wrote: > > > Hi, > > Does anyone know if there is a way to simulate an epidemic

[ns] Example of creating our own agent in ns 2.34?

Hi, Can someone point me to an updated version of Marc Greis's Ping tutorial? It doesn't necessarily have to be a Ping tutorial but anything that teaches addition of new protocols is fine. Anyone? Thanks, John -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Example-of-creating-our-own-
