Dear all

I'm currently working as one of a team on a new edition of the 2nd
tunebook, which involves, amongst other things, playing through all
the tunes as printed.

It is felt that the version of Parnell's March is not what pipers
mostly play, particularly in bars 12, 20, and 25.
I'd be very grateful if some folk could find time to play it through
and see what they think, letting me know where (if) they diverge from
the printed music.

I've downloaded an alternative version from thesession.org, but that
is also unfamiliar in its details. The tune does not seem to have
been published until recently, but it presumably has a composer,
being a C19 tune - it was listed on one site as "popularised by Leo
Rowsome in the 50s and 60s".

Any and all info welcome.

Thanks
Julia
