A word of caution from a mediocre player about G sets. The only one I ever tried, the holes were too close for my fingers. I take the point about wanting to play with people who play other instruments, but if you're starting, I can't help thinking it's wiser to start with a more normal

While we are on the topic of G sets. I keep hearing rumors or reports of wide bore G chanters being made with F chanter finger spacing but have yet to hear of them actually making it to market. Supposedly at least two makers have made them but that is all I know. Is anyone making these currently?
