mail list are no trouble at all, be recently there has been trouble.
In this day of everpresent spam, one of the hassles of
running a mail list is avoiding anti spam measures. If

I just want to make it clear that this list is not affiliated in any way
with the Northumbrian Pipers' Society (though I was a member many long
years ago.)
I encourage anyone who is also not affiliated with the NPS to use your
delete key often! In any mail list there are sometime
I should also add that the NSP mail list can no longer
transmit computer viruses.

- I don't read the nsp list in real time so I may not see anything
posted to the list for a day or two, especially when I am busy.

An aside here - every posting of this list has [NSP] in the Subject:
line, and most mail readers will let you filter these messages into
a special mailbox, which you can read when you want. Of course most
mail readers do this in different ways, so you will have the challenge
