I have it working fine on my father's box (custom made), and my own laptop (Fujitsu-Siemens). Gives the segfault on my wife's laptop (Dell), though. Both are (or should be) running up-to-date Hardy (8.04) and 2.6.24-23-generic (my father runs an older kernel - 19 iirc - because of VirtualBox compatibility).
I tried sbackup from the Hardy channel (0.10.4) as well as the latest from launchpad (0.10.5). Both give segfaults, with identical messages. For completeness, here is what I get: $ sudo simple-backup-config [sudo] password for corianne: (simple-backup-config:6622): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_simple_async_result_set_from_error: assertion `error != NULL' failed /usr/sbin/simple-backup-config:1002: Warning: g_error_free: assertion `error != NULL' failed gtk.main() (simple-backup-config:6622): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_simple_async_result_set_from_error: assertion `error != NULL' failed (simple-backup-config:6622): GLib-GIO-WARNING **: (/build/buildd/glib2.0-2.16.6/gio/gfile.c:5249):IA__g_file_load_partial_contents_finish: runtime check failed: (g_simple_async_result_get_source_tag (simple) == g_file_load_contents_async) Segmentatiefout Any chance of a fix, or some workaround here?
