[Nssbackup-team] [Bug 332589] Re: sbackup goes into zombie status

I have Ubuntu 10.0.4.1 server 64 bit
Same problem - remotely logged in using tightvncserver/vino and when I press
the Backup Now button the GUI freezes. The backup appears to have been done
although the resulting files seem a little large - 162G backup of a 75G
filesystem(?). I haven't checked what it stored.

Anyhow, I managed to kill the process from the command line with: sudo
kill -9

Oops...my previous post was a little incorrect. I did ask it to back up
a lot more than 75G so I have no reason to believe its backup process is
faulty. I had not used sbackup until today. Only the freezing GUI is a
definite fault.

[Nssbackup-team] [Bug 697654] Re: No desktop session found on Mint LMDE: no notification icon

2011-01-14 Thread master-sonic
I managed to get the indicator icon working. However, the workaround is
pretty dirty. sbackup is checking whether gnome is running by checking
if there is a process called 'gnome-session'. For debian, this does not
seem to be the case. Now I just made sbackup check for gnome-panel
instead of gnome-session. I know this is pretty dirty but it's a quick
fix until a real solution comes around
