 Hello Phil,

what was the message you noted? I think it was a statement like: 'Old
backups were found. If you want to use them please upgrade them.' Am I
 right?

You can upgrade your old backups by using the Restoration GUI. There
 exists a button named 'Upgrade'.

So, perhaps that is not the logical place? Can it be shifted to the
Backup GUI? After all, it is when changing settings for making backups,
that one may be thinking about the backups that were already made.

[Nssbackup-team] [Question #68850]: Upgrading backups made from sbackup

2009-04-26 Thread Phil Sumner
New question #68850 on NSsbackup:
https://answers.launchpad.net/nssbackup/+question/68850

When starting a backup through nssbackup, I noted the message about upgrading
old backups done with sbackupd. However, I can't find any information on this
in the GUI. I did find how to do it from the command line
(nssbackup-upgrade-backups) but this was down to guesswork and tab-completion!

Is there any existing documentation on this, and if not, is it worth trying to
knock something together?
