Since GNOME 2.22 the trash is inside ~/.local/share/Trash, so could you
please add the Regex
/home/[^/]+?/\.local/share/Trash
to the exclude list?

Binary package hint: sbackup
When backing up "/" ("Include" tab has single entry "/") all exclude
entries (from "Exclude" tab) that consist of a single directory do not
get excluded. Note: had to edit /etc/sbackup.conf manually to get
proper "/" entry.
Example: "Exclude" ta
