I have the same problem. I receive the following message in the error
window:
coercing to Unicode: need string or buffer, NoneType found

I have the same problem.
Every time I launch sbackup I get the same error message. however, I can
close the notification window and continue using sbackup.
The program seems to run fine (despite the error message), but I did not test
whether backups are affected by the bug or not.
