William Hill have us at $9 to go down. What time do they open the book
again in Australia? Got to be worth a few bob if the same odds are on offer
here.

--
Q: If you could change one thing about Wolves history, what would it be?
A That Peter Knowles was on the bog when the door was knocked.

I really do fear for us now. If West Ham had held on for at least a draw
we would have been ok. Istill in our hands but what odds on three wins
in a row? Plus our record against Blackburn is terrible, and all the
others play sides who have absolutely nowt play for.

$100 on relegation would offset it if it did happen.

Such negativity

   - Birmingham away at Spurs, who are playing for a spot in the Europa
   - Blackburn's away record is as bad as ours. 4 losses and 2 draws in the
   last 6 games.
   - Blackpool have to beat Manure at OT. They haven't lost there all
season. They might play their second string but their 25 man squad is
superb. I don't think the argument of caring about their record is valid
but they'll certainly want to win in home.
   - Stoke have nothing to play for, I agree but, they haven't had anything
to play for for a while and yet have still won two of the last three. Wigan
beat the worst team in the league by one goal.
   - I'd be low more worried if I supported Wigan, Blues, Blackpool or
   Blackburn
   - Odds of three wins in a row are small, but fortunately the outcome of
this game is not related to the result in the other two so we don't have to
   worry about those odds.

Steve's exactly right.

Blackpool have to beat the previously unbeaten at home Manchester United.

AND

Birmingham have to beat Tottenham who beat Liverpool away this morning and
need a win to ensure their Europa place.

AND

Wolves have to fail to beat Blackburn at the Mol.

I'm not a betting man but the odds on those three things aligning would be
worth having $100 on to dull the pain.

- Stoke have nothing to play for, I agree but, they haven't had
anything to play for for a while and yet have still won two of the last
three. Wigan beat the worst team in the league by one goal.
- I'd be low more worried if I supported Wigan, Blues, Blackpool or
Blackburn
- Odds of three wins in a row are small, but fortunately the outcome
of this game is not related to the result in the other two so we don't
 have
to worry about those odds.

But unless my memory is failing me we have a long and distinguished record
in helping teams break their long losing streaks or improving their
disastrous away records. Just because they are struggling doesn't mean we
don't have it in us to capitulate. We haven't won 3 matches in a row since
April 2009 (in the Championship, not the Premier League).

Such negativity

* Birmingham away at Spurs, who are playing for a spot in the Europa
* Blackburn's away record is as bad as ours. 4 losses and 2 draws in
the last 6 games.
* Blackpool have to beat Manure at OT. They haven't lost there all
season. They might play their second string but their 25 man squad is
superb. I don't think the argument of caring about their record is valid
but they'll certainly want to win in home.
* Stoke have nothing to play for, I agree but, they haven't had
anything to play for for a while and yet have still won two of the last
three. Wigan beat the worst team in the league by one goal.
* I'd be low more worried if I supported Wigan, Blues, Blackpool or
Blackburn
* Odds of three wins in a row are small, but fortunately the outcome
of this game is not related to the result in the other two so we don't have
to worry about those odds.

I'm afraid that Thick Mick is going to drop Fletcher to the bench simply
because his best buddy, Doyle-the-non-scorer, is fit again.

Did anyone notice the cursory hand-shake that Mick gave Fletcher when he
subbed him on Saturday? There is clearly no love lost between them two
and despite his recent form I reckon he will be dropped, in exactly the
same way he did with SEB earlier in the season when SEB was flying.

If I was a Blackburn fan I might look at it like this:

   - We've only won three away all season.
   - We haven't won away since 2010.
   - We've let in more goals on the road than any other team in the league
   - We're playing a resurgent team who've won two in a row, scoring three
   goals in each.
   - We've had an awful season, sacking a proven manager and replacing him
   with a muppet
   - Samba is injured
   - Or as one Blackburn fan says: Actually, this is a must win game. Can
we win it? Very very unlikely. The die was cast in December as i've said
before. The club is disastrously managed at all levels now and the outcome
   is inevitable.

See, the sh1te coloured glasses work for everyone. It's more a reflection
