Most of us thought M&M had realised bringing in a "new" face after the
transfer window closed wasn't a good idea.

Now looks like they've forgotten where they left cheque book.

As for Ward it was great pity he got himself injured in the warm up and
couldn't face Ince.

Could have shown interested clubs what fine left back he is.

You've got me at a bad time Marcus. I'm with you - not comfortable about the
immediate future. I think Saunders could have the goods but will he have
long enough to produce them?

We'll know more when the window actually slams shut. Hopefully Moxey's
fingers will be in it.

So, with one day left of the transfer window there seems to be very little
in the way of rumours around anyone coming in to strengthen the side. I
wonder what type of connections Dean has with other teams? Perhaps this is
a major downfall with young managers that they haven't been around long
enough to know the market and establish relationships to ensure that they
get first pick of the talent.

It seems we won't let SEB go without a replacement lined up.

Stearman going isn't any great loss.

Ward is generating interest but is the only left back (bought as a striker
by Mick) so we can't let him go.

I fear that we're going to head into the rest of the season with the same
squad, which scares the shit out of me.

What does everyone else think?

RE: [NSWolves: 8098] Transfers

2013-01-29 Thread mark worrall
Marcus, it's the same old pattern. Moxey + Owner hire managers who need to
prove themselves and so can be easily manipulated and wont demand to spend
much.

That's why we'll never see the likes of Redknapp, O'Neill, etc., at the Mol.
They wouldn't stand for it.

2013-01-29 Thread Paul Crowe
I can't believe we would not take 1 million for SEB, when he is out of
contract in the summer and will leave for free.

Ward will be no loss, he is not a left back anyway, so any of the young kids
could come in and do a better job if given a chance.

Pathetic inaction during this transfer period! Just shows the ambition of
our Club and its Owner!

Morgan Out!!
