[NSWolves] Remaining Fixtures

2011-04-10 Thread Marcus Chantry
OK, now that the red mist has cleared after Saturday's performance, it's
time to take a look at the remaining fixtures and gauge how we all think
things will pan out.

Fulham (H) - 1 point

Stoke (A) - 0 points

Blues (A) - 0 points

WBA (H) - 3 points

Sunderland (A) - 0 points

Blackburn (H) - 1 point

So I think 5 points and relegation.

Aside from the back 4 that we've already commented on, was anyone else
worried about how O'Hara disappeared from the game totally after about
30 minutes. He was looking superb for the first 20 minutes then simply
vanished.

--
Q: If you could change one thing about Wolves history, what would it be?
A That Peter Knowles was on the bog when the door was knocked.

Teams have sussed us out. Everton did the same as Newcastle. They just
strangle our midfield and prevent any passing around which invariably ends
up out wide with Jarvis or Hammil. At least O'Hara comes deep and turns
around and nearly always finds a way to pass forward. Henry should take
note.

Fulham (H) – 3 points

Stoke (A) – 0 points

Blues (A) – 1 points

WBA (H) – 3 points

Sunderland (A) – 0 points

Blackburn (H) – 3 points

10 points and staying up

Marcus, we had enough chances to wrap up the game in the first twenty
minutes, so you can look at it two ways;

a. We are not clinical enough..I do not buy the unlucky stance, and
b. The back five are useless, I am including Hennessy here because
despite his occaisional outstanding save, he looks very shaky to
me...mind you Gordon Banks would look shaky playing behind the likes of
Stearman, Berra and ElokobiFoley wasn't much better.

The long range efforts were poor, but on another day we may of fluked a
cracking goal.

I wouldn't be surprised if we win two of our next four, which will make
for a very nervous end of season.

Wigan, West Ham and Blackpool for the drop, with us JUST pipping
BlackpoolOPTIMISTIC or what?
