I also thought that none of the takers looked particularly stressed. Maybe they
weren't having to worry about their national press slaughtering them if they
missed their kick. I think our press has a lot to answer for in terms of the
psychological effect they have on our players.

I don't know why our team is so shit. Maybe they just don't have the
desire to win. I look at Greece throwing the kitchen sink to get an
equaliser and I don't recall us doing that as intensely against Italy or
Uruguay.
