It's been a pleasure to be following Wolves in the last 6 months. as my mate
Steve from the Youth Academy said a couple of weeks ago:

The boys have been playing well - it actually looks like a team which has
been coached, which is a bit of a novelty, but it is only League1!

Since the turn of the year, they've been playing really well. Most of
Jackett's signings have been brilliant (some credit to my friend Kevin
Thelwell) although I'm still not sure about Leon Clarke - and not just
because I really hope that Liam will make it! Still think Jack Price can
step up - the remainder have a bit of work to do for the Championship, I
think, but the team of the 80s grew as they rose up the league, so who
knows?!

I haven't done the work on the championship teams to have an opinion yet.

.but Championship Champions does have a nice ring to it :D

Well Norwich have just sacked Hughton, and appointed the equivalent of
Terry Connor so we might have been in the same boat.

Re: [League One Champions 2013/4] Promotion

2014-04-08 Thread Steven Millward
There seems to be only a weak relationships between points achieved in
League One and finishing position in the Championship. Southampton only
bought three players, most of whom were mediocre, between promotions from
League One and the Championship. Norwich bought more but they were weak
too. None are still in either team.

2nd is my forecast

Interestingly, both of those clubs changed their managers when they got to the
premier league, almost to suggest that they recognised that just because they
were successful in the lower leagues, doesn't mean they could continue in the
premier league. Wonder what would have happened if we'd recognised this
limitation with Thick Mick?

Norwich got 95 points in League One in 2010 and then finished second in the

Southampton got 92 points in League One in 2011 and then finished second in

We will have the momentum to go straight up.

Any chance of having this get together in mid or late-May please?

It’s been a pleasure to be following Wolves in the last 6 months… as my mate
Steve from the Youth Academy said a couple of weeks ago:

The boys have been playing well – it actually looks like a team which has been
coached, which is a bit of a novelty, but it is only League1!

Since the turn of the year, they've been playing really well. Most of Jackett's
signings have been brilliant (some credit to my friend Kevin Thelwell) although
I'm still not sure about Leon Clarke - and not just because I really hope that
Liam will make it! Still think Jack Price can step up - the remainder have a
bit of work to do for the Championship, I think, but the team of the 80s grew
as they rose up the league, so who knows?!

I haven’t done the work on the championship teams to have an opinion yet…

…but Championship Champions does have a nice ring to it :D

If we can make the Play-Offs next season it would be a very good
achievement. We will need 4 or 5 quality signings to stand a chance though.

Almost assured. One more win should effectively be enough as Roth'ram lost
last night. Well done Wolves

Predictions for next season please. We can do again after the transfer
window.

A. Auto promotion
B. Playoffs
C. 7th to 13th
D. 14th to 21st
