It did look like men against boys for the first 30 minutes which was in
total contrast to the first 30 minutes against Arsenal where we had a real
go at them and stopped them playing. I knew we'd never be able to keep that
intensity up for 90 minutes but at least we had a go, which was in total
contrast to Saturday. Big set of games coming up now. Hope Mick rethinks
Saturday's selections!

RE: [NSWolves] Chelski [sec=unclassified]

2009-11-23 Thread pcrowe
Morning Steve,

Yes, Stearman at left back would be okay if we played this formation:

Hennessy

Zubar Berra Craddock Stearman

Edwards Milijas Mancienne Jarvis

SEB Doyle

I feel Henry is not the answer and we need to try something different.
Mancienne played in midfield for the reserves last week as well as playing
the England U21's. Even Foley in the middle of the Park would be worth a try
if he is over his injury.

I think Jarvis on the right wing would be a better position for him but MM
obviously sees him as a left winger.

Must win game on Sunday, fingers crossed.

That seems to be along the lines of most peoples thinking on MM.

Edwards is the odd one there. Also odd with no Kightly/Foley given their
importance last season.

Stearman at LB paul?

2009-11-22 Thread Paul Taylor

Well I stayed up - wish I didn't, but thought may as well watch a really good
team play too. Koegh was hopeless when he came on - gesticulating and
complaining about everything, and got himself a yellow for his troubles.
Obviously the pressure was too much for him.

We need 6 points out of the next two games without to doubt to make me feel
comfortable. Nice of Mick to say that we were playing well with those draws
before, however we could only go one of two ways.

Totally outclassed in every position. Hennessey had a shocker considering he
has been playing better of late. Halford was very poor as well I thought,
waste of money at 2.5 million on that showing.

Blues will win if we play this badly again.

Need to revert to 4 4 2 and get Doyle and Milijas back in the team.

2009-11-22 Thread LEESE Matthew
It did look like men against boys for the first 30 minutes which was in total
contrast to the first 30 minutes against Arsenal where we had a real go at them
and stopped them playing. I knew we'd never be able to keep that intensity up
for 90 minutes but at least we had a go, which was in total contrast to
Saturday. Big set of games coming up now. Hope Mick rethinks Saturday's
selections!

2009-11-22 Thread Swampy
Just watched the highlights on Fox and Chelseas first goal was a cracker
of a goal.but sadly

the second, a free header no one challenging

the third keeper error and no defence...any team cannot allow a team
like Chelsea that much room and not get punished . Wolves deserved to go
3 goals down

Keeper error and again no defence

just in the hightlights it seems that Wolves were in shock, maybe
playing against the quality players that the likes of Chelsea, ManU,
Liverpool, Aresenal, well the top 8 teams can buy. The formation was a
bit hows ya father..?

Got to excect to loose against the top 8 or 10 teams in this comp, at
the end of the year it's all about survival. Got to forget about cup
runs and get stuck in to the teams that are a tad closer to Wolves. Best
to play 4-4-2 or 4-3-3, work mate loves 5-3-2...

MM needs to quickly settle down and confine the team to a top 15 or 17
and just rotate around this core group, the rst should be just reseves,
and that includes Halford long throw or not!!

Any way folks that's me rant..still a bit positive Wolves can
surviveJUST!

It did look like men against boys for the first 30 minutes which
was in total contrast to the first 30 minutes against Arsenal
where we had a real go at them and stopped them playing. I knew
we'd never be able to keep that intensity up for 90 minutes but at
least we had a go, which was in total contrast to Saturday. Big
set of games coming up now. Hope Mick rethinks Saturday's selections!

 Me as well.
Did think we were better than against Blackburn though.

How come some bent nosed bugger can get his sides to beat the top
sides whereas our bent nosed bugger makes us look like a bunch of
 10 year olds?

Good question - I did but I felt like a rabbit in the spotlight. Not so
difficult staying up here in Shanghai - the game finshed at 12:45am.

But I still wish I hadn't watched...

...only two more weeks and I'll have MM and lads sorted for you! Dare we
watch Brum? - if that's 0-4 I'm not going to bother going to the
Wanderers/Wanderers game.
