That took a bit of doing because the macro that is supposed to help
setting this stuff up is broken :-(

Here is a macro that comes close to what you had in mind, I hope.
The main weakness is that it only supports one main author, as it
is now (that is because of "\getcitedata[author1]")

   \def\MYauthor#1#2#3#4#5{#4 #3}
   \def\specialcite#1[#2]%
      {\bgroup
       \getcitedata[author1][#2] to \mauthors
       \getcitedata[title][#2] to \mtitle
       \expandafter\MYauthor\mauthors, \mtitle
       \egroup}
