Hi Idriss,

That's wonderful!
Could you please tell us what font you have used and give us the font features
turned on to get that kind of coloring and « kashide »? Can you send an example
ConTeXt file that produces what you sent as a png file?

Best regards: OK

Columns can't be nested but you can use \start/\stopsimplecolumns for
the itemize.

Thanks Wolfgang. Perfect solution!

For the other hand, can't columns be nested? Why not put in
\startitemize code one if: if there is _in_ a column environment,use
\startsimplecolumns, Is it technically possible?

[NTG-context] MetaPost in TABLEs ?

2010-04-11 Thread Steffen Wolfrum
Hi all,

In a book on construction engineering I found two kind of tables that
presumably could be set very nicely in ConTeXt (see attachments). Set with
MetaPost within natural tables?

1) Curly braces that span over cells: Their height should be depending to the
cell's height (nr=2 oder nr=3).
http://werksatz.com/attachments/braces.jpg

2) Arrows that are pointing from one cell to an other (middle or border of
cell),
http://werksatz.com/attachments/arrows.jpg

To me this looks like standard purpose, that most like is already pre-defined
somewhere in Metapost/MetaFun/ConTeXt (MkII please!) ...

Is there any MetaPost guru out there that knows these cases?

Thank you,
Steffen

Everybody: please pick one random command from

If everybody from this list helps with _one_ command, we are quickly done with

Thank you Hans! I can imagine that this fits on the first example.

Do you also have an idea on the second case, the arrows from one table cell to

 Help needed: texshow-web/command referenc

Gladly started with this, but two questions arose:

1) What is the standard? What formatting errors too look for? Should
they be evident or subtle?

2) Should the description be added before removing Reference_Cleanup?
Foe example, \but wiki page looks meaningless without the descrption.

[NTG-context] Where to put MP macro?

2010-04-11 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky

Hello,

Thanks to Taco, I have some progress in developing guitar chord command.

My current trouble is how to develop the mark MP macro and where to
put it? Inside startuseMPgraphic?

\startuseMPgraphic{chordgrid}{e,B,G,D,A,E}
drawoptions(withpen pencircle scaled 0.4pt withcolor black) ;
draw hlingrid(0, 5, 1, 0.8cm, 1cm) ;
draw vlingrid(0, 4, 1, 1cm, 0.8cm) ;
draw mark(1,\MPvar{e});
draw mark(2,\MPvar{B});
draw mark(3,\MPvar{G});
draw mark(4,\MPvar{D});
draw mark(5,\MPvar{A});
draw mark(6,\MPvar{E});
\stopuseMPgraphic

\define[6]\Ch
{\dontleavehmode
\useMPgraphic{chordgrid}{e={#1},B={#2},G={#3},D={#4},A={#5},E={#6}}%
\hskip2mm}

\starttext
\Ch{1}{3}{1}{2}{1}{1}

http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Reference/en/but

ConTeXt has no \but command although i think there was one in the past.

\starttext
\show\but
\stoptext

gives

 \but=undefined.
l.4 \show\but

but mult-en.tex contains

\setinterfacecommand{but}{but}

When you miss a description add one, that’s the meaning of a wiki.

[NTG-context] Why any substring is not find inside string?

2010-04-11 Thread Jaroslav Hajtmar

Hello,
Sorry for my beginners question.
I am experimenting with CSV parsing and I have miscellaneous delimiters.
Finding any delimiters is OK, but with any delimiters are problem -
there are not to find inside string.

Here is my minimal example:

\starttext
\startluacode
text2split='1;GYZA;382/2010;482/2010;402;Májkova;Barbora;20.4.1995;Zábřeh,
Skalička 48;789 53'

delim_from, delim_to = string.find(text2split, ';')
tex.sprint(tostring(delim_from),' - ', tostring(delim_to),'\\par') -- OK

text2splitA='!1/;!GYZAs 482/2010/;!GYZA 382/2010/;!GYZA
482/2010/;!402/;!Májková/;!Barbora/;!ž/;!20.4.1995/;!Zábřeh/;!ČR/;!Mírov
69/;!Mírov/;!789 53/;!Májková/;!Michaela/;!Mírov 69/;!Mírov/;!789 53/;!/'

delim_from, delim_to = string.find(text2splitA, '!;/')
tex.sprint(tostring(delim_from),' - ', tostring(delim_to)) -- Not finding
\stopluacode

\stoptext

Where is problem, where I making a mistake (I am beginning with Lua).

Thanx Jaroslav Hajtmar

[NTG-context] marginrule does not work properly in wiki

2010-04-11 Thread Vyatcheslav Yatskovsky

Hello,

The following example does not work properly in wiki (the rule is
missed), while in mkIV it's OK.

\starttext
\startmarginrule
The sound of a duck is a good demonstration of how different people
listen to a sound. Everywhere in Europe the sound is equal. But in
every country it is described differently: kwaak||kwaak (Netherlands),
couin||couin (French), gick||gack (German), rap||rap (Danish) and
mech||mech (Spanish). If you speak these words aloud you will notice
that in spite of the consonants the sound is really very
well described. And what about a cow, does it say boe, mboe or mm?

This is aligned at bottom.
