[NTG-context] PDF links wrong on Windows

2012-06-21 Thread Steffen Wolfrum
Hi,

I just finished a book project with MkIV vers. 2012.04.14 00:10.

When opening the PDF on Mac, all bookmarks link to the correct page.
when opening the PDF on Windows, all bookmarks link to a wrong page (page
number plus one).

Is this a know issue?

Thanks, Steffen

On Mac I tested with different viewers (AcrobatPro, AcroReader, Mac's Preview):
all give the same correct behaviour.

On Win7 I tested with Acrobat: false.
the strange thing here is, when I look at the bookmark's properties, they show
the correct page number as target action. Only when pressing the link, the
result gets plus one!

@Hans: do you want to test the pdf yourself?

Funny, one of my testers reported the exact same problem: bad links
(page+1) on Acrobat Pro 1.5 under Windows, fine everywhere else.

And in that case, it was not really linking to the next page, but to the
very bottom of the correct page (with \setupinteraction[focus=standard])

Best wishes,
Taco

I only used \setupinteraction[state=start], no focus, nothing fancy.
Nothing funny ;o(

The workings of parameter spaceinbetween on \startxtable remain a mystery to

[NTG-context] how to change footnote body number

2012-06-21 Thread Pablo Rodríguez
Hi there,

I'm trying to change the format of the footnote numbers in the body (not
in the lower area for footnotes) and I don't know how to do this.

Here you have a sample:

\definefontfeature[oldnumb][onum=yes]
\setupnotation[footnote][numberstyle=\tf,numbercommand=\addfs{oldnumb}]
\starttext
Note\footnote{Not here, but above.}
\stoptext

Just in case you wonder, the OT feature is actually sups=yes, but that
feature only works with Sorts Mill Goudy
(http://www.theleagueofmoveabletype.com/sorts-mill-goudy).

How is the proper way to do this?

Many thanks for your help,

Pablo

[NTG-context] Space Between Number and Reference

2012-06-21 Thread Kip Warner
Hey list,

I am dumping all of my references into an appendix with the following:

\placepublications[criterium=all]

It works great for references 1 to 9, but anything longer than a single
digit and the actual reference text just ends up being superimposed
over it instead of shifting over.

I'm guessing there is a setup for this somewhere.

\setupfootnotes [textcommand=\high]

There you can hook in your font feature command.

That example it too short. Extend it until it exhibits the problem
you describe. By that you increase the chance of a quick response by
magnitudes.

Probably.

For oldstyle numerals you can use the “oldstyle” feature:

\setupnote[footnote][textstyle=\setff{oldstyle}]

\starttext
Note\footnote{Not here, but above.}
\stoptext

To use the superscript feature you have define first a fontfeature with
“sups=yes” which can now be applied to textstyle, it’s also important to
disable the \high command which is used to raise the footnote number.

\setupbodyfont[calluna] % replace this with your own font which has the “sups”
feature

\definefontfeature[sups][sups=yes]

\setupnote[footnote][textstyle=\setff{sups},textcommand=]

\starttext
Note\footnote{Not here, but above.}
\stoptext

I guess \placepublications[width=dimension] gives you control over the width
of the digits but I can’t say for sure without a example.
