Bibtex says it cannot find cont-no.bst (which is one of four bst files
that are in the bib module distibutuin). If this was TeXLive, I'd say:

'have you run mktexlsr already?'

But I don't know if this applies under Mac OS X as well. Perhaps a
Macintosh user can help you better.

[NTG-context] TaBlE problem

2004-09-06 Thread Nikolai Weibull
This table is a bit messed up:

\starttext
\starttable[|r|c|c|]
\HL
\NC \bf State \VL\TWO{\bf Input Symbol} \NC\AR
\DC \DL[2] \DR
\NC \VL 0 \VL 1\NC\AR
\HL
\NC $s_0$ \VL $s_1$ \VL $s_0$\NC\AR
\NC $s_1$ \VL $s_0$ \VL $s_1$\NC\AR
\HL
\stoptable
\stoptext

Why aren't the columns for 0 and 1 of equal width?
Is there a better way than to set the template to [|r|c(3em)|c(3em)|]?

At work we use the command line tool pdcat by pdftools.com for this.
It's commercial, but the demo also does nearly everything.
I just found PDFLab for MacOS X, see

Perhaps it fits your needs; I didn't try it.

We got TeX live for MacOS X also. :-)
And the other web2c compatible distributions (teTeX) use the same.

Nice Sunday evening Hans,

I played with ToUnicode resource (for correct copypaste and search
opperation in PDF). I noticed a package cmap.sty was done by Mr.
Volovich for LaTeX a year ago; I did one (cmap.tex) for plain TeX
yesterday and started to be interested in the situation in ConTeXt. No
wonder you did it 4 years ago. But I met some minor problems:

1) if you run example file
\useencoding[pfr]
\setupbodyfont[csr]

\starttext
test \`z \'z \bf test \sl test \bs quite funny \`z \page
test \`z \'z \bf test \sl test \bs quite funny \`z \page
\stoptext
you obtain /ToUnicode resource ONLY for first roman variant. It is due
to a condition in the file enco-pfr.tex
\def\doincludepdffontresource
{\ifcsname\s!ucmap\fontfile\endcsname\else
\dodoincludepdffontresource
\fi}
The condition is correct but the \fontfile is not changed when \bf,
\it, etc. is used (it is still cscsc10

[NTG-context] Absolute positioning of graphics on the page

2004-09-06 Thread Giuseppe Bilotta
Is this possible without using layers? IOW, it there some kind
of command that allows:

\somecommand[some setups]{content}

where the setups specify where the content should be
positioned, and towards where it should extend? (e.g.,
positioned in the top right corner, extending to the bottom
left)

This can be achieved via layers, but is it possible without?
