Thanks all.
Would be nice to know how to switch the left and right keywords to do the
opposite of what it does now.

[NTG-context] Fonts switching and styles ..

2004-11-21 Thread Dirar BOUGATEF
Hi all,
I am working to setup styles in heads with the typeface karat, that i define
as follows:

\starttypescript [karat]
 \definetypeface [karat] [ss] [sans] [karat] [default] [encoding=texnansi]
\stoptypescript
Here is my head definition:
\setuphead[part]
  [align=left,
   page=right,
   placehead=yes,
   style=???,
   before={\hbox{}\vfill},
   after={\vfill},
   command=\MyPart]
Question: what command should i use to define this head to use the karat
typeface above as its style ?

Thanks for any help.
Dirar.

RE: [NTG-context] paragraph with a shape

2004-11-21 Thread Ciro A. Soto
I was using \parshape in plain tex, but this is what I want to avoid using.
I am looking for a macro where I could provide a figure (may be in metapost format)
and then the paragraph would be inside the shape of the figure. Or something
better than the \parshape, which distorts the shape if you change the font size
or the line separation...Dirar BOUGATEF [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:
You will have to use the same macros you have created. This is one of Context magic. TEXEXEC is way too old. The current version is above 5!
 After updating your context it appears that it uses still a very
 outdated version of texexec. I advise you to update your tex-system
 from CTAN (http://www.tug.org/interest.html).

Hi, I am trying to keep my context up-to-date, and so I installed the
new cont-tmf in my ~/texmf directory, and I get the following:

% texexec 041120_testfile.tex
Not enough arguments for mkdir at /usr/people/pm/bin/texexec line 2259,
near $FormatPath ;
Execution of /usr/people/pm/bin/texexec aborted due to compilation
errors.

My previous context was from 2003-12-18 and my tex is tetex 2.0.2. This
is on Irix 6.5.

I have no sense of what to do to fix this error, any advice will be
appreciated.

there is a switcj but it would spoil the use of modules,
you can use flushleft and flushright as alternatives

if so, i need to protect the lot, any system/logic behind what to protect ?

I have no idea. Everything? What's the downside of protecting a
macro?
sometimes you want it to be expandable
\unexpanded\def\blabla{\handle{blabla}}
will not expand even if \handle is expandable (could be a problem in for
instance fallbacks for pdf bookmarks and such)

\def\blabla{\handle{blabla}}
now one can overload \handle, and \handle can be protected if needed
