I have problems with this graphic too. First I noticed that I don't have
pstoedit installed on my computer. I downloaded version 3.40 from
http://www.pstoedit.net/pstoedit. When I now run this MP code I get a
Windows (xp) errormessage: Unhandled exception in pstoedit.exe

I haven't had a look for a long time at this pdf. But if I remember
correctly, it is a typeset version of each source file. You can create
a typeset version of a source file with texexec --module tex.

I have installed a fresh gs view 4.7 and pstoedit 3.40
all latest version under windows. I installed pstoedit
at H/program files/ghostgum directory.
Generated new metafun.mem and udated at
localtexmf/miktex/mem directory and texmf/web2c
directories.
MY makempy still complains about
I assume you are working under windows.
You go in start - settings - control panel - system - advanced -
environmental variables (at least under xp)
You have to chance the variable path and add there the path to pstoedit

- generating Pseudo Small Caps by texutil, and
- preparing typescript for variant \Var[SmallCaps] font switch.

be dangerous for some applications: the .8 scaling loses the
