In general, it is better not to do that, (because it is slower
and needs lots of control sequences), but if the font does not contain
what you need, you have no choice, of course.

Did you have a look at TikZ?
I would use metapost or TikZ for that, PSTricks aren't natively
supported in pdfTeX, which means that it is only theoretically
possible to use them,
