Is there any progress on this? I notice it is not yet in the core. I'm in need of an AMSL split-like environment but the above doesn't work entirely as expected. Below is an example. Any ideas? Here the blue (= base mode) actually looks correct, but that just means that mkiv needs a patch: the base kerns are also generated by the mkiv font loader, after all. It probably got confused by the kerning classes. I expect that it actually did work earlier (pre 0.31), and that what you see now is just a regression. But it is better for me to wait for Hans' comment than to dive into the code and maybe spend hours on a problem that would take him 10 seconds. The only dependencies The immediate message comes from /bin/sh, probably from a nested call with a modified library path (rsync sounds like a likely candidate to me, but that is just guessing). luatex should not depend on libiconv on any platform, and it doesn't alter the library search path (not that I know of, in any case). Hi all, Mojca, after Taco resolved one issue with the latest luatex, I was trying to update on my osx-ppc box, and I am encountering a strange bug: when I run the ./first-setup.sh script, the rsync processes fail with this message: MtxRun | using script: ./bin/mtx-update.lua dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libiconv.2.dylib Referenced from: /bin/sh Reason: Incompatible library version: sh requires version 7.0.0 or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 5.0.0 and so on. Now this box has several more or less abandoned installations of darwinports and fink, but this looks like it's trying to link to the library provided by the system (OS X 10.5.6) and complaining it's too old. Any pointers to this one? Hi, Taco: Last week you invited me to test the trunk version of luatex. Today I compiled LuaTeX trunk version (This is LuaTeX, Version snapshot-0.32.0-2009011719, build unknown) and used first-setup.sh (change --context tag into experimental as Mojca suggested) to download the ConTeXt (MtxRun | current version: 2009.01.17 00:15) distribution. And after compiling one of my thesis, I found there is a bug in mathmode. I am not sure whether it is a bug in luatex itself or a bug in ConTeXt.
