Hi Adam, I tested your code both with mkii and mkiv, and everything seems to work correctly, both with frame= on or off. As a matter of fact, I learned from the piece of your code \setuppapersize [A4][A4] % or [A4,landscape][A4,landscape] \setuplayout [header=0pt,footer=1cm,backspace=1cm,topspace=1cm,width=middle,height=middle] \setupfootertexts [presentation---\currentdate\space---\space\pagenumber] \starttext \combinepages[slides][nx=2,ny=3,frame=on] % or % \combinepages[slides.pdf][nx=2,ny=3,frame=on] \stoptext that independently of the SimpleSlides module one can combine any PDF file in a handout… Thanks very much! I think somewhere in the luatex manual, he explains why luatex sets locale to "C". To see the differences in the environment, just do "set >/tmp/set-shell" and run context on: --8<---cut here---start->8--- \starttext \ctxlua{os.execute"set >/tmp/set-context"} \stoptext --8<---cut here---end--->8--- I don't have pandoc, but I'm sure that you can reproduce the problem with "LANG=C pandoc ..." Thus, the solution would be something like: "filtercommand={LANG=en_GB.utf8 pandoc ...}" -- Peter ___ If your question is of interest to others as well, please add an entry to the Wiki! maillist : ntg-context@ntg.nl / http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context webpage : http://www.pragma-ade.nl / http://tex.aanhet.net archive : http://foundry.supelec.fr/projects/contextrev/ wiki : http://contextgarden.net ___

Somebody needs to check/confirmed that it is well-formed. 1b. At least somebody needs to find it useful and request it (which you just did; should it also be added to TeX Live?). 2. Until we do something about it, it would be very very desirable to put it to modules.contextgarden.net (I know that it is painful). Once 1 and 2 are met, I just add a single line to sources that trigger inclusion of the module to minimals (and a separate one for inclusion into TeX Live). Hi Hans, using the 'Report PDF syntax issues'-preflight in Acrobat9 gives a warning about an 'Unexpected value for this key'. I used 'pdf-x4p.mkiv' from /texmf-context/tex/context/test/ as test file. Probably just a warning about a redundancy (see 'PDF Reference, version 1.7.pdf', p376), setting 'BaseState /ON' in combination with '/ON [ whatever] /OFF [whatever]'. Removing 'BaseState /ON' results in a flawless PDF.
