What about ltcltk [1], it's from 2010? However I never

There is a real, serious problem with the predictability of GTK+
installations on macosx. It feels like each version of macosx in
either 32 or 64 bit needs a different version of the bundle, and
on top of that it hard to predict which one is needed.

Installation of any GTK+ bundle always appears to work, but if you
have the wrong one the runtime crashes.

Best wishes,

Hi, I sorted the reference by the squence they appear in the text. I want to
retreive a bibentry number, but use it at other places.
 I try to use \onlinecite, this number is the same as \cite[xxx]. Its number
will become smaller if I put it before where I cite it.
Can I get the absolute number of the bibentry, which means, this number will
not change when I use it somewhere?

[NTG-context] [ctx] s-mod fails with self-referential modules

2011-05-09 Thread Philipp Gesang
Hi all,

there’s an issue with s-mod. Consider a test module “t-Test.mkiv”:

··8·

\startmodule [Test] \unprotect

%M \usemodule[Test] % -- calling itself in docstring

\startinterface all
  \setinterfacevariable {Test} {testvariable}
\stopinterface

%D Reserving a namespace.

\definenamespace [\v!Test] [
  type=module,
  name=\v!Test,
  parent=\v!Test,
  setup=\v!list,
]

\protect \stopmodule \endinput

··8·

This fails if processed with “context --ctx=s-mod”, although the
actual module code is fine. (Appears to be a common problem, for
instance t-fancybreak, t-rst, and possibly others are affected.)

[NTG-context] floats disturb section placement

2011-05-09 Thread Steffen Wolfrum
Hi,

attached you may find a 4-page minimal example containing 1 table and 3 section
headings.

If the table is set with
\placetable[force]{Test}{ ...
then the vertical distance above the headings is consistent.

When you make it floatable:
\placetable{Test}{ ...
the the headings AFTER the table get a spurious extra space above!

How can this be avoided?

Every help is very welcome!!

[NTG-context] synonyms/abbreviations and style setup question

2011-05-09 Thread Julian Becker
I'm guessing that I have not yet understood how to use
abbreviations/synonyms correctly, but why does it make a difference if I
call the synonyms abbreviations or tests? That is why do the following
two files produce different results on my PC (Windows 7, context version
2011.02.09 16:42)? In the first case I get the abbreviation in capitals, in
the second case, no capitals. What would I have to do to get small capitals?
I tried style=smallcaps, but that only gave me capitals all of the same
height, and no small capitals.

fileone.tex:

[NTG-context] Columnsets and placement of figures

2011-05-09 Thread Willi Egger
Dear list,

In a document with a columnsets there are many directives to place figures on
certain spots (see columns-manual).

I deal with a two-columns layout.
Now I would need to place a figure in the first column at the lower left edge.
Here the command

\placefigure[bots][]{none}{\externalfigure[fake][width=\textwidth,height=3cm]}

will not result in the figure at the bottom of the page, instead turns up at
the top.

For testing please refer to the minimal example below.

I am using

So it looks like having the urw zapfding fonts from texlive mess this up
(uzdr.afm, uzdr.pfb and uzdr.pfm).
Don't you have them? Why is it a problem if context finds those?

Without those fonts, I have this in the log:

But now the export is fine, on the other hand the pdf misses those characters.

Re: [NTG-context] Error with export=yes

2011-05-09 Thread Hans Hagen

Hi,

Something else to play with, making an epub archive. At some point I
will add support for images etc. At the end of a run you will see:

export saving specification in 'oeps.specification' (mtxrun --script
epub --make oeps.specification)

The mentioned mtxrun call will make an archive.

Hans

 Dear list,

 In a document with a columnsets there are many directives to place figures on
 certain spots (see columns-manual).

 I deal with a two-columns layout.
 Now I would need to place a figure in the first column at the lower left
 edge. Here the command

 \placefigure[bots][]{none}{\externalfigure[fake][width=\textwidth,height=3cm]}

 will not result in the figure at the bottom of the page, instead turns up at
 the top.

As i can’t find any reference to a “bots” keyword it isn’t a valid option.
Why don’t you use “bottom” or “lrbt” to place your picture.

Re: [NTG-context] Error with export=yes

2011-05-09 Thread Reviczky, Adam
I still must miss something, because the epub doesn't seem to contain anything.

So here's a simple example:

\setupbackend[export=yes,xhtml=test.xhtml]
\starttext
Hello world!
\stoptext

Then after running context:

mtxrun --script epub --make test.specification
table={
 [files]={ test.xhtml },
 [identifier]=89a4fe19-4610-b806-b0dd-5fad6ede3dde,
 [name]=test,
 [root]=test.xhtml,
}
  adding: mimetype (stored 0%)
  adding: META-INF/ (stored 0%)
  adding: META-INF/container.xml (deflated 32%)
  adding: OPS/ (stored 0%)
  adding: OPS/test.opf (deflated 49%)

mtx-epub| epub archive: test.tree/test.epub

The xhtml seems to be missing from OPS, but even putting that in there doesn't
give me a working epub (even though it increases the epub size).

Help?

Right, adding a title solves that, but still empty when trying to open it ...

You need to convince Aditya then as he has to make up that list.

I think that ConTeXt should be feature compatible with amstex; not
necessarily syntax compatible. Although syntax compatibility eases the
translation of old amstex documents to ConTeXt, it is not a good long
term solution.

So, the question remains, is this feature (changing the meaning of
\dotsb etc) by authors? If so, we can add an option to \setupmathematics
or a dedicated \setupdots (or something similar) command.

s/by/needed by/?

If it takes more than 10 minutes to implement or increases the
maintenance burden, I can live without it.

 If so, we can add an option to \setupmathematics or a dedicated

That sounds like a feasible solution.
