Hi,

I've encountered another simpleslides problem, which can probably be
chalked up to mkiv's moving target status.

\placeTitle

I can't reproduce this here; your test file compiles and produces the
expected output. Are you sure that you have installed the simpleslides
module and that it is loaded at runtime? Look into the log file, around
line 12:

Or wait: did you download the modules during the last three days? I may
have uploaded a wrong version; can you try again with the latest?

Re: [NTG-context] vertical alignment problem in column items

2012-11-17 Thread Jeong Dal
Dear Otared,

Thank you for detailed explanations.

I got the same results as you explained.
There may be something which controls the vertical spaces in columns.
I believe that it will be resolved soon.

Best regards,

[NTG-context] Wrong \unit spacing

2012-11-17 Thread Marco Patzer
Hi,

the \unit command produces wrong spacing when only the unit is given
without a value. Is there a way to improve the \unit command to not
print this space?

\NC spacing OK\EQ (µmol) \NC\NR
\NC spacing OK\EQ (3\,µmol)\NC\NR

Re: [NTG-context] \startitemize[columns] once again...

2012-11-17 Thread Otared Kavian
Hi Marcin,

I think there is a small bug with itemize and columns: in another thread (with
Subject « vertical alignment problem in column items» ) Dalyoung reported also
an issue, which is related to what you have observed.
Please see my message in a reply to Dalyoung's message, where I reported some
testings but I am not sure when this bug appeared (in mkii, the behaviour is
essentially correct).

Best regards: OK

This minimal example behaves in a strange way:

 \starttext
  Some text
  \startitemize[columns,two,joinedup]
  \item abc% $\frac{x^2-x+3}{x^2+x-3}$;
  \item xyz% $\frac{x^5-3}{x^3+x-2}$.
  \stopitemize
 \stoptext

If we remove the percentage signs in the items, an additional
vertical skip appears. Is it a feature or a bug?

Hi, could anybody look into it? I tried also \smash-ing the
 formulae - with no luck.

Hi Marcin, appears like the vertical spacing is extended when
content of the item exceeds the line height. The behavior is not
restricted to math mode, though I can’t say if there is an
official way to prevent or customize it. If you are desperate to
get around it, maybe put the content in a box of fixed height.

Yes it does, thanks! (It helps in some other strange cases, too.)
What is especially interesting, is that \strut\smash{...} didn't help.

Just to be sure, I re-downloaded ConTeXt Standalone (it's now on
2012.11.16), unpacked the newest simpleslides from
modules.contextgarden.net in texmf-modules (overwriting the existing
files), and, compiling my minimal example, got the same error.

For what it's worth, I don't know how happy mkiv is with \doattributes
and \dostartattributes.

Cheers,
