[NTG-context] How it works \setupurl?

2013-10-23 Thread Jaroslav Hajtmar

Hello ConTeXist.

I have a question: Is there \setupurl independent on \setupinteraction?

Is there posibility get external references a different color than the
other (default) links (to sections, figures etc) defined by
\setupinteraction?

Thanx Jaroslav Hajtmar

Here is my minimal example:

\setupinteraction[state=start, style=normal, color=blue, contrastcolor=]
\setupurl[style=type, color=green]

\setupexternalfigures[location={local,default}]

\useURL [garden]

\starttext

\section[sect]{Section}

This is testing Cow section.

\placefigure[here][cowfig]{Cow figure in Section.}
  {\externalfigure[cow][width=7cm]}

In \in {section}[sect] at \at {page}[sect] is \in {figure}[cowfig]
(these links have the correct blue color).

But this external link to URL \from[garden] should be {\green green} and
should be {\green\tt tt font}.

\stoptext

Hello list,

I'm using the bib module for a project and have some references where the
article title ends with a question mark. How can I suppress the period that
is added with the insertarttitle command for these references?

Layer has text inside in the sample above. I’d like to have it as a float.

You can use positioned layers (mentioned in the metafun manual but
 currently broken in MkIV)
but you have to place the layer with a float to reserve the necessary space.
 [...]
Is there no way to place that layer exactly 8mm from left page border
and 110mm from top page border?

I really need the layer in that position (otherwise it doesn’t make sense).

Remove “position=yes” when you want the layer on a certain position on the
 page but don’t
expect the text to flow around the layer.

Many thanks for your reply, Wolfgang.

I’m afraid that I need the layer on that position and text flowing
around the layer.

Is there no way to do place a MP graphic on a certain position and make
the text flow around it?

Sorry for insisting, but it surprises me that such a basic need seems
impossible with ConTeXt.

Many thanks for your help,

[NTG-context] dejavu: inline math fraction spacing too tight?

2013-10-23 Thread Alan BRASLAU
Hello,

Using the dejavu font, inline math fractions (e.g. $a/b$) look to me to
be spaced too tightly. Below are some minimal examples:

\setupbodyfont [dejavu,12pt]
\starttext
$a/b$

$1/2$

$π/3$
\stoptext

Is this indeed the desired spacing? What do others think?

Thanks.

I am not sure how it compares with PDF.js in terms of speed and accuracy.
One drawback (or advantage, depending on how you want to look at it) is
that text cannot be copy pasted.

[NTG-context] nested itemize in margin

2013-10-23 Thread John Kitzmiller

To enumerate answer blanks in the right margin to match the question, thanks to
Marco:

\define\ansblank{\inright{\getnumber[itemgroup:itemize]. \thinrules[n=1]}}
\setupitemgroup [itemize] [n,style=bold,right=\ansblank]

I am trying to augment this to handle nested itemizations so that the
\getnumber in the right margin is from the parent itemize but the \getletter
is from the child:

\starttext
\startitemize[n]
\item First
\item Second
  \startitemize[a]
\item Related problem % Would like this to show 2 a. before the marginrule
\item Related question % Would like this to show 2 b. before the marginrule
  \stopitemize
\item Third
\stopitemize
\stoptext

Desired output:

1. First 1. _

2. Second
a. Related problem2a.
b. Related question 2b.

3. Third 3. _

My attempts have been to define a new blank and use [conversion=Character]
along with stabs from cont-eni.pdf, but I am flailing and failing.

Thanks for any help,
John

It's different: rendering pages so no reflow and abstract model of data
but quite okay as alternative for a pdf rendering when there is no
alternative.

[NTG-context] Aligning Part-Title in TOC

2013-10-23 Thread H. Özoguz

Hello together,

my question today is about aligning the part-title in the toc, see this
simple example:

\setuphead[part][number=no]
\starttext
\completecontent
\part{Part 1: This is the title of the first part, it is very very
long,  but actually not a real title of a part in a book}

\stoptext

Whatever I try, using \crlf, \\, \blank[...] or anything else, I did not
get the result of aligning I want. I want the title indented in the
second line, as is is in the first line (so both lines have a
left-offset to Part 1). For better understanding I attached a image
with the intended result. How to do get this?

Thanks alot.
