In \CONTEXT\ we sometimes use U+ as signal. It looks like we need a
callback for intercepting such messages in the log.

Another correction, I asked at Paratype:

The version on MyFonts also contains Greek (incl. polytoniko) and Hebrew.

2014-04-16 Thread Thangalin
It seems a few examples from the columns manual --
http://www.pragma-ade.com/general/manuals/columns.pdf -- are broken.
Here is another (from page 34):

\definecolumnset[example][n=3]
\definecolumnset[therest][n=4]
\setupcolumnset[example]
\setupcolumnset[therest] [distance=.5cm] [distance=.5cm]
\setupcolumnset[example]
\setupcolumnset[therest]
   [width=\dimexpr((\makeupwidth-1.5cm)/4)]
  [width=\dimexpr((\makeupwidth-1.5cm)/4)]
\setupcolumnset[example][1]
  [width=\dimexpr(\makeupwidth-1.0cm-2\dimexpr((\makeupwidth-1.5cm)/4))]
\starttext
  \startcolumnset[example,therest]
\startcolumnmakeup
\vfill \input knuth
\stopcolumnmakeup
\column[local]
\dorecurse{25}{\input knuth\par}
  \stopcolumnset

Each object in a combination consists of two object, (1) the image etc. and (2)
the caption but in your example you have only one object where the figure acts
as caption.

\startcombination[…]
  {}{}
  {}{}
\stopcombination

[NTG-context] Column Width

2014-04-16 Thread Thangalin
Hi,

According to the columns manual, the following should produce a
two-column layout with the first column being 1/3 and the second
column being 2/3 the makeupwidth:

\definecolumnset[example][n=2]
\setupcolumnset[example][1][width=.33\makeupwidth]
\starttext
  \startcolumnset[example]
\dorecurse{25}{\input knuth\column[local]}
  \stopcolumnset
\stoptext

Using: mtx-context | current version: 2014.01.03 00:40

What is the simplest example to achieve two different column widths
for a columnset?

(The Paragraphs example on the wiki --
http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Columns#Paragraphs -- works, but I need
the flexibility of column sets.)

Thank you!

Hi Mojca,

AFAIK, I'm one of the two people who used linux-ppc, but that machine is
no longer used as a desktop, so that's completely fine by me. And should
I aver need the binaries, I know how to compile them...

[NTG-context] Supported architectures for minimals (any ppc users out there?)

2014-04-16 Thread Mojca Miklavec
Hi,

I would suggest dropping support for linux-ppc for the ConTeXt
distribution unless somebody objects.

I'm surprised about the number of ppc users on Mac (and would be
curious to get more off-list feedback from those still using it). TeX
Live planned to drop support this year, but it seems that it's staying
for now. We are currently cross-compiling the binaries, but at the
moment both luajittex and metapost compilations seem to be broken.

We also don't seem to have any kfreebsd or sparc-solaris users, but as
long as their builders enjoy supplying the binaries, that's fine by me
;)

On the other hand I need to sit down one day and fix support for
cygwin. I'm sorry that this didn't happen yet.
