[NTG-context] Force two figures to appear on the same page

2014-04-30 Thread Thomas Möbius
Dear ConTeXt list,

I have multiple figures appearing in a single chapter which are
roughly half a page in height. They would fit on top of each other.
It seems as if context is only putting floats on top of each other if
at least 2 lines of text fit underneath them.

How to force two figures which fit on one page to also appear on one page?

As you can see in the example below, the chapter would otherwise end
with a lengthy list of figures. I'd prefer, if the chapter ends with
text. If I'd use `force`, text would stop wrapping around the floats.

The cow.png file is a copy of the graphic appearing on

Re: [NTG-context] A new question on \definefallbackfamily

2014-04-30 Thread Mikael P. Sundqvist
Hi, here is an update:

It seems this does not have to do with the font Frutiger to do.
Compiling the file

%%%

\definefontfamily [lundface] [ss] [TeX Gyre Scholar][opticalsize=yes]

\definebodyfontenvironment[18pt]
\setupbodyfont[lundface,18pt]

\starttext
{3 $3$}

{\bf 3 $3$}
\stoptext
%%%
I get the same behavior. Sometimes, the fourth 3 will become bold.
This happens very randomly (sometimes I have to compile 10 times for
it to happen). I compile with context test.tex. I can reproduce this
both on my home computer and on my computer at work, both with
late(st) standalone installed.

Best regards, Mikael

[NTG-context] Empty heads after leading whitespace

The mechanism that automatically removes the leading whitespace at the top
of a page doesn't work if there is an EMPTY head followed by another head
(of a different level). How can I remove that whitespace?

Re: [NTG-context] Hebrew vowel placement in ConTeXt.

2014-04-30 Thread Michael Ash
This seems to have broken in my latest upgrade. The diacriticals (vowels)
are no longer centered under the Hebrew lettes. They are now misaligned
again.

Also, the script=hebr option in definefontfeature now generates an error
(see the original code in the second message). The following code works but
with misaligned vowels. So the ccmp option doesn't seem to be working
anymore.

\usemodule[simplefonts]
\definefontfeature[hebrew][default][ccmp=yes,mark=yes]
\setmainfont[Ezra SIL][features=hebrew]
\setupalign[r2l]
\starttext
בְרֵאשִ֖ית בָרָ֣א אֱלֹהִ֑ים אֵ֥ת הַשָמַ֖יִם וְאֵ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ

Thank you very much for suggestions.

Michael

Your Unicode text came through perfectly:

Maybe the encoding of your browser/mail-client needs to be set to
 Unicode (Automatic usually works too).

For high-level text-direction control, you may experiment with

 \righttoleft
 \lefttoright

 as well as

 \setupdirections[bidi=global]
 \setupdirections[bidi=local]

 Best wishes
