Re: [NTG-context] LineSpacing Issue in Arabic Fonts

2017-02-19 Thread Otared Kavian
Hello Ibn Saeed,

I tried your example file and obtained the same result as you with
LuaTeX Version 1.0.3 and the latest beta version 2017.02.19 17:14.

However the result is as expected with the version from TeXLIve, that is
LuaTeX Version 0.95.0 (TeX Live 2016) and ConTeXt ver: 2016.05.17
19:20.

So there seems that, as Hans warned us a few days ago, there are still some
problems with LuaTeX and the latest version of ConTeXt.

Best regards: OK

[NTG-context] LineSpacing Issue in Arabic Fonts

2017-02-19 Thread Ibn Saeed
Hello

I installed ConteXt standalone version.

Here is the version details:

===
mtx-context | ConTeXt Process Management 1.00
mtx-context |
mtx-context | main context file: C:/context/tex/texmf-context/
tex/context/base/mkiv/context.mkiv

I am trying to use the following context document which used to work fine
before.

I have upgraded my complete computer so had to install everything again.

When i ran the same file, it gave all kinds of linespacing issue, that is
what i think the issue might be.

[NTG-context] Specifying the cell column: are \TD[n] and \TD[m] broken?

2017-02-19 Thread Akira Kakuto

(Context Standalone, ver. 2017.01.27, ver.
2017.02.19) and in context from TeX Live 2016 (ver. 2016.05.17) these
two examples give identical tables that differ from results on
the wiki page.

Confirmed.
ConTeXt mkii gives results on the wiki page.

[NTG-context] Specifying the cell column: are \TD[n] and \TD[m] broken?

2017-02-19 Thread Vladimir Lomov
Hello,

on wiki page
[[http://wiki.contextgarden.net/TABLE#Specifying_the_cell_column]] there
are two examples (also I found them in tabl-ntb.mkiv) to "skip" empty
cells:

 8< -

\bTR\bTD d1 \eTD\bTD[n=2] d2 \eTD\bTD[n=5] d5 \eTD\bTD[n=7] d7 \eTD\eTR
\bTR\bTD f1 \eTD\bTD[n=4] f4 \eTD\bTD[n=5] f5 \eTD\bTD[n=7] f7 \eTD\eTR
\eTABLE
 8< -

and

 8< -
\bTABLE[width=3em]
\bTR\bTD d1 \eTD\bTD[m=2] d2 \eTD\bTD[m=5] d5 \eTD\bTD[m=7] d7 \eTD\eTR
\bTR\bTD f1 \eTD\bTD[m=4] f4 \eTD\bTD[m=5] f5 \eTD\bTD[m=7] f7 \eTD\eTR
\eTABLE
 8< -

but in current context (Context Standalone, ver. 2017.01.27, ver.
2017.02.19) and in context from TeX Live 2016 (ver. 2016.05.17) these
two examples give identical tables that differ from results on the wiki
page.

P.S. I don't use this feature but find it very interesting and sometimes
useful.

Hi Jaroslav,

it would be great to achieve that with handlecsv.

Many thanks for your reply, Hans.

I’m afraid that we have 35 different types of documents, with optional
content implemented through modes. CSV is handled by the handlecsv
module by Jaroslav Hajtmar (which in turn uses LuaTeX code from ConTeXt).

My Lua script would have to replicate at least part of this
functionality. I don’t say it is impossible. But I’m sure it is
impossible to me (I cannot code). Or at least, it would be unnecessarily
complex.

A good compromise would be a Lua script that copies the original file
with only one page in each copied file (in some documents, I need two
pages, but this will come later). I mean, those documents have metadata
information and printing options which need to be present in all copies.

I think this should be an easy hack, but I don’t know where to search.
The “LuaTeX Reference Manual” contains “12.3 The epdf library”. “MkIV
Hybrid Technology” has the chapter “12 Including pages”.

I will appreciate any help with this script.

Re: [NTG-context] generate multiple files from one source

2017-02-19 Thread Jaroslav Hajtmar
Hello Pablo,
I am using a new calling of ConTeXt ie. compile new source code from the main
source code. It is possible due \executesystemcommand macro. Necessary
parameters You can pass to new compiling source. For example:

\executesystemcommand{context --result invoice-\cA.pdf --arguments = "cA = \cA"
servingfile.tex}.

This possibility create a particular PDF file for recipient \cA.

PS 2Pablo only: This option is possible with handleCSV module. The possibility
of using handleCSV module I will publish to GitLab repository as soon as
possible - today or tomorrow. I was very busy this weekend.

OK, I experimented with this and found how I can make the header hang:

\setuppapersize[A4]
\setuplayout[backspace=3.5cm,width=14cm]
\setuppagenumbering[alternative=doublesided,location=]
\setupheader[text][after=\hrule]
\setupheadertexts[]
\setupheadertexts[\setups{text a}][][\setups{text b}][]
\startsetups[text a]
  \hskip-1.5cm
  \framed[frame=off,width=17cm,offset=none]{
  \rlap{Inner text}
  \hfill
  {Center text}
  \hfill
  \llap{\pagenumber}}
\stopsetups
\startsetups[text b]
  \hskip-1.5cm
  \framed[frame=off,width=17cm,offset=none]{
  \rlap{Outer text}
  \hfill
  {Center text}
  \hfill
  \llap{\pagenumber}}
\stopsetups
\starttext
\dorecurse{4}{\input tufte \page}
\stoptext

I also added a bottom rule to the header using after=\hrule option, but this
rule
is not wide enough. How can I change the length of this rule to the same as
the header frame? I attach a pdf (made by pdflatex) showing what I'd like to
get.

Thanks,

bcsikos

just make one invoice where you pass the variable data on the command
line and then make a small lua script that loops and processes each variant
