[NTG-context] Asymptote with Context

2017-11-01 Thread Akira Kakuto

If this has something to do with OpenGL, a properly
built asymptote might solve the problem.

I'm using on windows the cygwin binary provided by
the Asymptote developers:
http://asymptote.sourceforge.net/

The binary is included in TeX Live 2017 for windows.

context ntg71.tex
works fine.

Akira

Hans,

many thanks for your fast fix.

After the newer beta I get another bug:

  $ mtxrunjit --generate
  ~/ctxbeta/tex/texmf-linux/bin/mtxrun:633: attempt to index local
'searchers' (a nil value)

Many thanks for your help,

Pablo

If this has something to do with OpenGL, a properly built asymptote
might solve the problem. Which OS and which distribution are you
using?

I don't know much about asymptote but as I just tried to debug an
error message in miktex: Imho the "solids" library calls the three
library which tries to use the OpenGL-renderer.

In miktex this fails (https://github.com/MiKTeX/miktex/issues/26)
and the "solution" is to set the output format to pdf:

https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/398421/miktex-how-to-install-glut-library-on-windows/398674#398674

Perhaps the problem here is due to a similar issue.

Both files work correctly at my end. I don't understand asymptote well
enough to debug why some imported modules fail. The only reason that I can
think of is that "import solids;" is calling an external program and there
are some settings in your texmfcnf file that is restricting that program
to run.

Are you using context minimals or texlive?

If you compile the attach ntg71.tex file, do you get ntg71-macro.pdf? If
not, then this is an issue with shell escape restrictions on your system.

[NTG-context] bug in latest beta?

2017-11-01 Thread Pablo Rodriguez
Hans,

I have tried to update the ConTeXt Suite to latest beta and I got the
following message:

$ ./first-setup.sh --modules=all
receiving incremental file list

sent 29 bytes received 155 bytes 122.67 bytes/sec
total size is 8,660,630 speedup is 47,068.64
./bin/mtxrun:5878: attempt to call local 'ln' (a nil value)

I think there may be a bug there.

Many thanks for your help,

Pablo

Re: [NTG-context] Tabulate containing high element

2017-11-01 Thread Procházka Lukáš Ing .

Hello Taco,

thank you for the hack.

\tabulatesplitlinemode=0 has local effect, so one may enclose it into group to
protect global setting.

I also had to enclose some elements into \tbox to get proper vertical alignment
- see the MWE attached.

Thank you anyway.

Best regards,

Lukas

Hi,

This should work:

  \tabulatesplitlinemode=0 % 1 | 2, default: 1
% controls the splitting dimensions for lines in ‘p’ mode
  % 0: do nothing
% 1: make each line exactly the height and depth of \strut
% 2: make each line at least the height and depth height of \strut

Undocumented, so likely to change in the next beta ;)

Best wishes,
Taco
