[NTG-context] Estonian language support

2018-09-11 Thread Clyde Johnston
I am clear whether Estonian (language code: et) is supported in ConTeXt.
According to the manual ("languages-mkiv.pdf"), I should be able to see the
installed languages using \showinstalledlanguages. Unfortunately, it does
not seem to produce the desired table.

However, a scan through the source code shows existence of
'./texmf-context/tex/context/patterns/mkiv/lang-et.lua' file. It looks like
much of the work, such as hyphenation, has been already done.

MWE 1:

\usemodule[languages-system]

\loadinstalledlanguages

\showinstalledlanguages

MWE 2:

\starttext

\language[et]

\currentlanguage

\stoptext

I suppose my question is more general: what information does the user need
to provide in order for a language to get support in ConTeXt? The manual
states "More languages can be defined. It is up to users to provide the
information."

Thanks,

Clyde

[NTG-context] Planned wiki downtime

2018-09-11 Thread Taco Hoekwater
Hi all,

We plan to update the software installation on ‘my’ server on Monday Sept 24.

As a consequence, various context-related sites including
wiki.contextgarden.net and modules.contextgarden.net will be down for some
as-of-yet undetermined amount of time. We’ll try to be fast, but one never
knows with these things...

It is for a good cause: we need the server software update to be able to update
the wiki software later on.

Best wishes,
Taco

Re: [NTG-context] setuptyping

2018-09-11 Thread Wolfgang Schuster

Hi Alan,

the difference between both is that smalltype switches to the monospace
font while small uses the default style (in most cases a serif font).

Alan Braslau schrieb am 11.09.18 um 16:13:

Wolfgang,

There is also [style=small]. Is it preferable to use style=smalltype?

Also, there is [style=bigger], which is a bit inconsistent (with [style=small] rather than
"smaller"). I would have expected "style=big", especially as the value "big" is
already used in other contexts.

To limit the smaller font to \starttyping it should be

      \setuptyping [typing] [style=\ttxx]

or

because \starttyping is a generated command like \startXML.

Hi Hans,
Replace your two setuptyping lines with:

\setuptyping[style=\ttxx]
\definetyping[XML]
\setuptyping[XML][option=XML,style=italic]

nothing else needs to change

Best wishes,
Taco
