Re: [NTG-context] Visual creators for ConTeXt
Hi, WE I had a look at the FLOWcharts: I would suggest [cut] There is a little update of creators: - flowcharts - Willi's suggestions implemented - commands - as above and description mechanism added (no description yet - but see \setupbackground for example) PS. Make sure that old files in cache of browser are deleted. -- Best regards, Martin ___ ntg-context mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
Re: [NTG-context] Visual creators for ConTeXt
Hi, (btw, do you use the xml alternative of the command reference?) I'm sorry - could you explain this question?... ;) Parameters for commands I get from manual - I had a short script in php which made a code in javascript - that is a cause of many errors in these 'creators'... But the code is preparing to making help on each parameter and each value, but where can I find so detailed description ;) I'm realy new user in ConTeXt - about 2 months (no experience in any TeX system before) so you must forgive my inexperience ;) -- Best regards Martin ___ ntg-context mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
Odp: Re: [NTG-context] Visual creators for ConTeXt
Hi, [cut seggestion] Ok - I wait for any comments and I will work for improving functionality - but of course I have limited time for working on it. ;( But after weekend I think there will be much more ;) Is is it posible that the popu-window for changing the shape and [cut] Hmm... For now the 'window' is calling 'in reference' to changing element - for elements near side of document this menu is hidding and scrolling is needed - I will try do it automatically ;) And also scrolling to actual choiced element type in that long list of types ;) The table creator looks promising. Nice to read polish helptexts :-) It is a mistake, of course ;) Have someone a little time to writing texts in english ? ;) My knolwedge of English is a little poor, so sometimes I have a problems ;( Nice overview of the commands. Is there a copy to clipboard intended? Of course ;) I hope you will further invest into this project. I hope so, too ;) I will try implement also setups for \setupTABLE (especially odd, even columns and rows), so the question is: is somewhere examples how use xml commands instead setupTABLE ? I would like make alternative choice to generating code - for bTABLE-eTABLE environment and table-/table also. -- Best regards Martin ___ ntg-context mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
[NTG-context] Visual creators for ConTeXt
Hi, I promised link to creators for ConTeXt ;) http://www.im.ps.pl/context/?en (and http://www.im.ps.pl/context/ for polish users) But - please note - there is early pre-beta version ;) I will work to increase functionality and performance of this. It works in IE6 (tested) and Gecko engine browsers (but there are some errors in display). Tables: left mouse button - select, right menu. Flowcharts: left button - inside object - choice type and changing text, 'o' is a connect point... There will be more helps at the site (in the future) :) For now, just try by clicking ;) If anybody has some advices or wishes please contact - I hope I will implement much more than now. PS. I think I will re-implement whole code (now it is awful ;) ) - if somebody want translate to other languages please contact - it will be possible ;) -- Best greetings, Martin ___ ntg-context mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
Odp: Re: [NTG-context] The smallest instalation for work with ConTeXt and MetaFun (TeXLive8) ?
Hi, [cut] What may be wrong ? [cut] Does it help you ? I'm a little 'confused' in installation of ConTeXt now ;) Yours advices (and texmf.cnf from Hans) didn't works on my mobile machine with previous (recommended) installation. But today I tried install it on other computer and I: - get 'generic basic' type of installation (with pictex(2) and langpolish) - without any changes - works fine, but no polish characters and metapost - make plr fonts and metafun format - fine, but no metapost - uncomment \useMETAFUNformattrue, \reuseMPslotstrue, \runMPgraphicstrue, \runMPTEXgraphicstrue, \runutilityfiletrue in texmf/tex/context/base/cont-sys.ori and copy to cont-sys.tex - everything works fine ;) So, I will check it on my second computer - soon I will be expert in ConTeXt instalation ;))) PS. Thanks to everybody who helps me in my first steps in ConTeXt - tomorrow I send the link to (early beta version ;) visual creators of tables and flowcharts in ConTeXt... -- Best regards Martin ___ ntg-context mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
[NTG-context] The smallest instalation for work with ConTeXt and MetaFun (TeXLive8) ?
Hi, Anybody has an experience with TeXLive (8 or 7) - what is the smallest installation type for working with ConTeXt and (absolutely necessary) MetaFun - I tried 'generic basic' and 'generic recommended' but I can't make MP graphics - I have a problem with it again ;( Of course 'full' installation works fine, but I have no idea what I need in smaller installation to working fine... Probably I forgot change something (again) in config files - in log I have: This is pdfeTeXk, Version 3.141592-1.11a-2.1 (Web2c 7.5.2) (format=cont-en 2003.10.6) 6 OCT 2003 04:15 entering extended mode %-line parsing enabled. ... \openout0 = `_back-mpgraph.mp'. \openout0 = `_back-mprun.mp'. \openout0 = `mpgraph.mp'. \openout0 = `mprun.mp'. ... [MP to PDF] (./_back-mpgraph.1) [2.2] \openout5 = `_back-mpgraph.mp'. mpost -progname=mpost -mem=metafun _back-mpgraph system()...disabled. ... and no graphic in pdf. But when I run mpost _back-mpgrapg.mp I have _back-mpgraph.1 file and another run of context includes graphic (this one) to pdf. [NTG-context] Odp: ntg-context digest, Vol 1 #484 - 13 msgs
Hi, I try to define new command with typing in this way: Don't mess with verbatim stuff in commands. Don't ask why, just don't do it ;-) \definetyping [nitram] [before=\startframedtext, after=\stopframedtext] \starttext \startnitram crazy \stopnitram \stoptext It works but if I use \startnitram \getbuffer \stopnitram I have as result: \getbuffer ;) I would like to define some code in buffer and use it as example (typing this code) and show how it works (use this code). I can use \getbuffer and \typebuffer, but I would like to put code into a 'nice' frame ;) I can do it by \framed[number of options]{\typebuffer}, but I would like to do it in better way - by defining own command and use \Command{\getbuffer}. Hi, I would like create some kind of template of first page - I try put a few text blocks in \startstandardmakeup - \stopstandardmakeup area but I spent a few hours but I did nothing. I can only do something like that: \framed[align=middle,width=broad]{some text} \blank[10*big] \framed[align=middle,width=broad]{some text} etc... but I think it is better solutions to put blocks there where I want ;). [NTG-context] Re: MetaPost error
Hello Some more information would be useful: do ConTeXt files (without metapost stuff) work correctly? Yes - thank You for Your time - now everything looks good. I fixed it by following: -install miktex (large version but I will experimental with small version) -unzip new version of ConTeXt -remove cont-en.efmt file if exists -generate format en -generate specific language format -update and refresh MikTeX database -generate metafun format -copy mem file from fmt folder (where is stored after generate) to /mem/ folder(s) -update and refresh MikTeX database And everything looks good ;) I had some problems with generate metafun format - there I couldn't find mem file on hard disk. Maybe first time I forgot '-update and refresh MikTeX database' ;) This the point for new users: after each operation do it ! ;) I used: This is pdfeTeX, Version 3.141592-1.11a-2.1 (MiKTeX 2.3) (preloaded format=cont-en 2003.9.4) 4 SEP 2003 23:12 and: ConTeXt ver: 2003.8.21 fmt: 2003.9.4 int: english mes: english Best regards Martin ___ ntg-context mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
