{\tf xyz} xyz {\bf xyz} {\bi xyz}
\stopformula

\switchtobodyfont[minionmath]

\startformula
{\tf xyz} xyz {\bf xyz} {\bi xyz}

It seems that \definefallbackfamily doesn't works like before.
What is the right way to use \it, \bf, etc. in maths?

Hello dear list.

I am experiment a issue with one of my fonts. The problem appears when one
try to use lining numbers as default font feature in documents. This font
have the feature onum by default, so if I want lining numbers I have to use:
definefontfeature[default][default]
[%
lnum=yes,
protrusion=quality,
expansion=quality,
]
This works just fine, except for hyphens sign where character protrusion
fails.

I will appreciate any suggestion.

Re: [NTG-context] Bold italic font in Math (\definefallbackfamily)

2016-09-09 Thread Jose Luis Arellano
Hello again.
After some research, i found what (I think is a bug) in
\definefallbackfamily. Check the following code:

\starttypescript [serif] [Minion]
\definebodyfont [default] [rm]
[tf=name:minionproregular sa 1,
it=name:minionproit sa 1,
mb=name:minionpromedium sa 1,
mi=name:minionpromediumit sa 1,
bf=name:minionprobold sa 1,
bi=name:minionproboldit sa 1]
\stoptypescript

\definefallbackfamily [Minion] [mm] [Minion]
[tf=name:minionprobold,preset=math:digitsnormal]
\definefallbackfamily [Minion] [mm] [Minion]
[tf=name:minionprobold,preset=math:lowercaseitalic]

\definetypeface [Minion] [rm] [serif] [Minion]
\definefontfamily [Minion] [mm] [TeX Gyre Pagella Math]

\setupbodyfont [Minion]

\starttext
\startformula
abcy123
\stopformula
\stoptext

Log:
selectfont > The requested fallback font 'Minion' for typeface
'Minion' style 'mm' was ignored because no files where found.

As you can see, \definefallbackfamily works just fine in numbers, but
unfortunately fails in lowercaseitalic.
This is a bug?

Thanks

Hello Wolfgang.

In fact, with the option "incrementnumber=list" you can to show
unnumbered section in TOC but unfortunately this causes the captions
numbering problem.
In the following example you can check that when one use a
figure/table in a unnumbered section, captions will shown as Table 1,
and not as Table 1.1.

\setuphead[chapter, section, subsection]
\setuphead[subsubsection][number=no,incrementnumber=list]
\starttext
\starttitle[title={Contents}]
\stoptitle
\placelist[chapter,section,subsubsection]
\starttitle[title={Figures}]
\stoptitle
\placelist[figure]
\startchapter[title=Chapter title]
\input ward
\startsection[title=Section title1]
\input ward
\placefigure[here][]{Caption}{\externalfigure[dummy]}
\startsubsubsection[title=Subsubsection title]
\input ward
\placefigure[here][]{Caption}{\externalfigure[dummy]}
\stopsubsubsection
\stopsection
\stopsection
\stopchapter
\stoptext

Thanks.

This issue is not related to font. You can reproduce it with default
font (Latin Modern) just use the MWE.

Thanks

[NTG-context] Opentype feature and "aligncharacter=yes"

2016-09-03 Thread Jose Luis Arellano
Hello list.
I want to report a very annoying issue when one use oldstyle numbers
by default. You can check the result in the following MWE:

%\definefontfeature[default][default][onum=yes]
\definefontfeature[lnum][tnum=yes,lnum=yes]

\starttext
\bTABLE
\setupTABLE[alignmentcharacter={text->.},aligncharacter=yes,align=middle,style={\feature[+][lnum]}]
\bTR \bTD 1.23456789 \eTD \eTR
\bTR \bTD 12.3456789 \eTD \eTR
\bTR \bTD 123.456789 \eTD \eTR
\eTABLE
\stoptext

As you can see, when you uncomment the line above, "aligncharacter"
has no effect.

Thanks guys.

Re: [NTG-context] Opentype features and space after comma in math mode

2016-08-29 Thread Jose Luis Arellano
After some research, i founded (in Wiki) that space after a comma can
be avoided using: \setupmathematics[autopunctuation=all]. Sorry for
that.

So, only left second question. This is about opentype features,
specifically tabular numbers in math mode. This issue (i think) is
related to the commercial font that am using, because it have some OT
features enabled by default (eg: onum=yes, tnum=no and lnum=no).
Curious is that i can only set lnum and onum but not tnum in math.

Hello list,
I have another question for you, it is about diacritic's replacement
in math mode.

\definefontfamily[mainface][serif][Minion Pro]
\definefallbackfamily[mainface][math][Minion
Pro][tf=style:italic,preset=math:lowercaseitalic]
\definefallbackfamily[mainface][math][Minion
Pro][tf=style:italic,preset=math:uppercaseitalic]
\definefontfamily[mainface][math][Latin Modern Math]
\setupbodyfont[mainface]

\starttext
{\it Piña}\par
\m{Pi\tilde{n}a}\par
{\it Canción}\par
\m{Canci\acute{o}n}

As you can see, the accents are replaced with Latin Modern Math font.
So, how can i use accents from Minion Pro?

[NTG-context] About \definefallbackfamily

2016-08-27 Thread Jose Luis Arellano
Hello guys, am working with some basic maths here and the latest version of
ConTexT. However, i think something has changed in ConTexT, because the
following MWE, from Aditya, was working fine before:

\definefontfamily[mainface][rm][Minion Pro]
\definefallbackfamily[mainface][math][Minion
Pro][math:lowercaseitalic][force=yes]
\definefallbackfamily[mainface][math][Minion
Pro][math:digitsnormal][force=yes]
\definefontfamily[mainface][math][TeX Gyre Pagella Math]
\setupbodyfont[mainface]

\starttext
\startformula
c^2 = a^2 + b^2
\stopformula
\stoptext

Now, the italic font of Minion Pro is replaced for regular.
Well, i have two questions:

1) How can i set the Minion Pro italic font for math?
2) Is there any way to set the italic font for numbers too in math?

Thank you guys.

Re: [NTG-context] ConTeXt on linux-armhf

2016-08-06 Thread Jose Luis Arellano
Hi all,
I want to report that ConTeXt from texlive-core
<https://archlinuxarm.org/packages/any/texlive-core> ARM package seems to
works correctly on chroot Linux in Android. Current version is 2016.05.17
19:20
I don't really know what am missing here, maybe my installation method:

mkdir $HOME/context
cd $HOME/context
rsync -av rsync://contextgarden.net/minimals/setup/first-setup.sh .
sh ./first-setup.sh --modules=all --engine=luatex
. /Users/$HOME/context/tex/setuptex
context --generate

I would really like to perform a clean install of Standalone ConTeXt.
Suggestions?

Thanks in advance
