Hi...

The installation of 'minimals' (
http://wiki.contextgarden.net/ConTeXt_Minimals) generates the following
error.:

And, again, it is not installable on gnu/linux/x86_64...

In other hand, the method used from http://pmrb.free.fr/texlive/ seem very
good, but I cannot use it because I use a flavor such as debian (ubuntu) and
I do not know how to translate the instructions from rpm (texlive.spec
script) to deb...

Someday I will be able to install luatex and could use its enormous capacity
for fonts :). Meanwhile, I will continue using xe(la)tex :(...

Hi all...

Mark IV is a greatest technology but very very difficult to install :(. The
trouble is not context or metafun else luatex. There is not way humanly
possible to install it in gnu/linux/x86_64! Always I have some error :(...

I tried with packages (hardy heron, currently) but I have/get oldest
files/executables. I tested with minimals but luatex fail, always. I
downloaded 'justtex' and 'linuxtex' from 'pragma', I executed 'setup',
'ctxtools --update', 'texhash', 'luatools --generate', 'luatools --ini
--compile --verbose cont-en' and there is where is the problem. I show the

As it is logic, I have all variables correctly added ($TEXROOT, $TEXMF,
$TEXMFCACHE, etc, etc, etc), and ruby install it. The questions are.: Is the
some way to install/update/upgrade context/metafun/LUATEX on
gnu/linux/amd64? The error log, how is it solve? Should there not be a
standard method to install all this?...

[NTG-context] unable update context minimal

Hi everybody...

I downloaded 'contex-setup-linux-64.zip minimals' and I have not had any
problem to install it; but, when I try to make 'ctxtools --update', it
generates.:

I am owner of '/opt/context' and '/tmp dir' are into '/opt/context/tmp' with
'1777 permissions'. The configuration files are.:

TEXMF_HOME=/opt/context/tex
TEXMF_BIN=${TEXMF_HOME}/texmf-linux-64/bin

The 'luatex', 'xetex', ... are correct; i.e.:

This is LuaTeX, Version snapshot-0.20.2-2007121718

xetex --version | head -1
XeTeX 3.141592-2.2-0.997 (Web2C 7.5.6)

How do I update 'contex', 'luatex', ...? Or do I download a minimum version
whenever I want to update, again and again?
