 Short answer: use texnansi encoding.

 \setupencoding[default=texnansi]

 or

Hi Mojca,

first thanks for your hints and testing my TestFile.

While creating different examinations this weekend for my students I
ran again in trap using tables. But this time I did not use any macro.
Just two simple tables.

The example works with context : ver: 2005.01.31
but not with ConTeXt ver: 2006.08.22

The main problem is that \placetable with \startcombination ... does not
work!

 And if you want to avoid redundancy:

 \definesynonyms[PID][PIDs][\doGetPID]

 \PID{16}{Johann Wilhelm Hermann}

my solution ist now:

\definesynonyms[PID][PIDs][\doGetPID]

\def\getPIDGeb#1{\doGetPID{#1}~(#1) -- Geburt}
\def\getPIDHei#1{\doGetPID{#1}~(#1) -- Heirat}

\PID{34}{Fischer, Joha\={n} Gottlieb}

Two years ago -- I switched from LaTeX to ConTeXt.

I typeset examinations and test for my wife's students at school.
For that task I wrote based on exam.cls (LaTeX) a ConTexT-modul.

All private und business letters are typeset with my special
DIN-Brief-Modul, based on akletter.cls (LaTeX) and DIN-letter (ConTeXt)
from Holger Schöner.

I typeset different articles for my father.

I typeset a book (350 page) with lots of tables, german and many czech
words

my next project is a book about my family from 1600 to now.

Re: [NTG-context] Problems with table and Division Line

Hi Willi,

 It is quite tricky to get the dummy columns right!

 If you withdraw one of the \DC in the line which causes the error, the
 table compiles just fine.

thanks for help!

[NTG-context] enumeration and countproblem

2003-11-05 Thread Bernd Militzer
Hi all,

Writing examinations I want to tell my students the points of each
question and the max points they can reach.

I wrote a macro which prints the points at the right side of the
question and count the points.
%
%
% ad the points of each question
\def\getPunkte[#1]{\advance\summeP by \number#1}
%
% show the points on the right side
\def\showP[#1]{\inright{\hfill(#1 P.)}}
%
%   handle the points
\def\pkt[#1]%
{%
\ifnum\ZeigeP=1
\showP[#1]%
\ifnum\addP=1
\getPunkte[#1]
   \fi

}
%
Using this macro in normal text like
TestQuestion \pkt[5]
it works without problems!

But when I use this macro in combination with enumeration I run in a
problem
example:
%
\defineenumeration[question][location=inmargin,text=,width=fit]
%
\question\pkt[5]
TestQuestion\par
nothing ist count in this case!

How can I fix this problem?

Thanks in advance.

[NTG-context] \usepath[...] \usesubpath[...] ???

2003-10-12 Thread Bernd Militzer
Hi Hans,

thanks for Your help, but I am sorry \usepath[...] \usesubpath[...]
do not work in that way I thought.

I start in /home/bmi/import/TestConTeXt/blocks/
with four files:
demo.tex= the project-file
eniro.tex   = the enviroment
student.tex = a data-file with two text-blocks
test.tex= a work-file, which will use text-blocks from student.tex

all things are pretty good -- in test.tex I can use the text-blocks from
student.tex (student.tub).

When I separate the dat-file = student.tex
and the work-file  work-file = test.text in different subdirs
it ist not possible to use the text-blocks form student.tex in test.tex

~/import/TestConTeXt/blocks/data/student.tex
with all help-files -- all things are ok

~/import/TestConTeXt/blocks/work/test.tex
running texexec test.tex,  no text-block from student.tex

In file test.tmp:
% test.top
\unprotect
\setupsystem[\c!gebied={/home/bmi/}]
\setupsystem[\c!n=1]
\setupsystem[inputfile=test.tex]
\protect

How have I to set up the path?
\usepath[/import/TestConTeXt/blocks/] or
\usepath[/home/bmi/import/TestConTeXt/blocks/] ???
\usesubpath[dat, work] or
\usesubpath[dat/, work/] ???

I have no idea -- please give me a hint to stop my frustation!

thanks

Bernd

Re: [NTG-context] \setupblock[name][file=name]

2003-09-26 Thread Bernd Militzer
Hi Hans,

thanks first,
blocks are defined.

If I use your example in the following way:

1. texexec test.tex

-- test
test
no homework!

2. texexec student.tex
   and than
   texexec test.tex

-- test
homework
test

Is this the right way to use external blocks??

Bernd

 \defineblock[homework]

 == test.tex ===

 \defineblock[homework]
 \setupblock[homework][file=student]

 == student.tex =

 \defineblock[homework]

 normally, you will put the definitions in a shared environment
