[NTG-context] Custom engine settings in AUCTEX

2022-06-14 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf via ntg-context
HI!

I’ve been trying out Doom-Emacs and when I open a ConTeXt file i want the
engine point to my LMTX installation.

/Users/jan-erikhagglof/context/context-osx-64/tex/texmf-osx-64/bin/ is the path
to my install on my Macos Monterey.

How can this been customized?

Its a bit confusing reading the AUCTEX manual so maybe someone has a working
config already?

Thanks in advance

Jan-Erik

Re: [NTG-context] Issue with interactive checkboxes[solved]

2022-05-24 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf via ntg-context
HI Again!

I discovered what went wrong, such a silly syntax error, here comes a working
code:

\setupinteraction[state=start]

\definesymbol[yes][{\externalfigure[check-mark-svgrepo-com.svg][conversion=mp]}]
\definesymbol[no][]

\newcount\chk
\def\checkmark{%
\global\advance\chk by 1
\setupfield[setup1][width=0.5cm, height=0.5cm,rulethickness=1pt, corner=round,
framecolor=red]%
\definefield[checkme\the\chk][check][setup1][yes,no][no]%
\field[checkme\the\chk]%
}

\starttext

\checkmark\

\checkmark\

\checkmark\

\stoptext

Sorry to bother the list but maybe it is helpful for someone.

Regards

/Jan-Erik

Re: [NTG-context] Issue with interactive checkboxes

2022-05-24 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf via ntg-context
I’ve tried this

\setupinteraction[state=start]

\definesymbol[yes][{\externalfigure[check-mark-svgrepo-com.svg][conversion=mp]}]
\definesymbol[no][]

\newcount\chk
\def\chk{%
\global \advance \chk by 1
\setupfield[setup1][width=0.5cm, height=0.5cm,rulethickness=1pt, corner=round,

\definefield[checkme\the\chk][check][setup1][yes,no][no]%
\field[checkme\the\chk]%
}

\starttext

\chk

\stoptext

But it gives the error ” You can’t use \global after \advance”

But this example works fine

\setupinteraction[state=start]

\newcount\clozecount
\def\mycloze{%
  \global \advance \clozecount by 1
  \definefield[uniqcloze\the\clozecount][line]%
  \field[uniqcloze\the\clozecount]%
}

\starttext

Frogs have four \mycloze\ and two eyes.
Frogs have four \mycloze\ and two eyes.
Frogs have four \mycloze\ and two eyes.

[NTG-context] Metapost examples seems broken

2022-05-22 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf via ntg-context
HI!

I have issues to access the very most useful place to get inspiration to write
MetaFun code.

Google Chrome reports security issues

Maybe this could be off topic in this forum, if so, My apologize in advance.
But maybe someone knows the author of this site

https://tex.loria.fr/prod-graph/zoonekynd/metapost/metapost.html

[NTG-context] Interactive checkbox in ConTeXt

2022-05-20 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf via ntg-context
HI!

How do I accomplish a similar funktion like this, that is written in latex, but
in context instead?

LATEXCODE

\documentclass{article}

\usepackage{hyperref}

\begin{document}
  \begin{Form}
\CheckBox[name=mycheckbox,checkboxsymbol=\ding{53}]{This is a check box:}
  \end{Form}
\end{document}

Thanks in advance

Re: [NTG-context] mathcal generates error in ConTeXt

2022-03-26 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf via ntg-context
HI!

It generates no \starttext \stoptext tag

It works with this though

\starttext

$\mathcal{A}$

\stoptext

But with the -s option you get a standalone version of the document

pandoc -s -f latex -t context -o test_context.tex test.tex

[NTG-context] Resetcounter in custom enumeration environment

2022-01-03 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf via ntg-context
Hi!

I’ve been doing this in my exams to define exercises in a structural way.

\defineenumeration[uppgift]
\setupenumerations[uppgift][alternative=left,width=1cm,text=
,after={\blank[2*big]}]

\starttext

\startuppgift

Here comes the exercise

\stopuppgift

\stoptext

I want a simple solution to reset the counter so it achieves the following
result:

Exercises

1 First exercise

2 Second exercise

Answers to exercises

1 Answers to first exercise

2 Answers to second exercise

I hope that is clear enough to describe what I want to achieve

Many thanks in advance

Yours Sincerely

Jan-Erik

Re: [NTG-context] how to setup path of ConTeXtLMTX for MacVim?

2021-12-14 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf via ntg-context
Check if your *.tex file is recognized as a context file and not a plaintex
file.

I’ve struggelled a lot with macvim before I got what I want.

I recommend following places learning everything in vim and many nice plugins
that helps a lot.

If you want I can provide my .vimrc as an inspiration and starting point. Se
below.

https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Vim <https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Vim>

https://vim.fandom.com/wiki/Mapping_keys_in_Vim_-_Tutorial_(Part_1)
<https://vim.fandom.com/wiki/Mapping_keys_in_Vim_-_Tutorial_(Part_1)>

https://devhints.io/vim <https://devhints.io/vim> a cheatsheet

In the MacVim application it took some time to figure out why my *.tex files
never recognizes as context files and the hardcoded solution was to comment out
the following in

/Applications/MacVim.app/Contents/Resources/vim/runtime/filetype.vim

" TeX
"au BufNewFile,BufRead *.latex,*.sty,*.dtx,*.ltx,*.bbl  setf tex
"au BufNewFile,BufRead *.texcall dist#ft#FTtex()

and instead adding

" ConTeXt
au BufNewFile,BufRead *.tex,*.ctx,*.mkii,*.mkiv,*.mkvi,*.mkxl,*.mklx   setf
context

It works for Me who only using context as a typesetting engine.

Normally you do not need to do this but it seems that my own filetype.vim on
upstart never reads.

Here is my .vimrc if you find it useful, enjoy.

HI!

Thank you for your help.

The code was generated by Geogebra Classic 5 "export to pgf/tikz" function and
it seems to have errors that needs to be solved in that application.

Now I have a good template to do this on my own.

Finally it worked after complete reinstall

Tikz circuitikz pgfplots from ctan, updated LMTX to latest 2021.12.10

And replaced m-tikz.mkxl and m-circuitikz.mkxl with the attached files from
Hans.

Fingers crossed and praying and impressive help from Hans and Aditya

nnoremap å :ConTeXt
nnoremap  ö :call tex#preview()
nnoremap  ä

Here is my snippet from my personal context.vim file

I see that you have :! and that means that you instruct vim to execute a shell
command.

Just write :ConTeXt and it should work fine

There was an error in circuitikz,  which is now fixed in the latest version:

https://github.com/circuitikz/circuitikz/pull/600

So, the following works (with latest circuittiz from ctan):

\usemodule[t][circuitikz]

\starttext

\startcircuitikz
  \draw (0,2) to[I] (2,2);
\stopcircuitikz

\stoptext

But fails with m-circuitikz (even after I remove \unprotect ... \protect from \starttikzinput as in the other thread). So, I don't know what is going wrong with the catcodes in m-circuitikz.

2021-12-06 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf via ntg-context
Ok, so if I understand this correctly, you recommend install directly from ctan.

The question is, I’m not sure how, but is it the tds arcive?

If I test it under mkiv do I need a separate install?

The wiki seems to indicate that the mkiv version is included in the LMTX
installation, if so it doesn’t work but I give it a second try.

Your commitment is truly fantastic and I thank you once again.

Re: [NTG-context] Setting up macvim in mac os catalina to work with LMTX

2020-04-22 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
I managed to typeset with success by typing in

:let g:context_mtxrun = 'PATH=$HOME/context-osx-64/tex/texmf-osx-64/bin:$PATH
mtxrun’
:ConTeXt

When I put this into my .vimrc file nothing is working, do not even find the
context commands, so I removed the .vimrc and then it worked again.

So the question is where do I put this line permanent because it is strange to
type this every time I want to typeset something.

[NTG-context] Setting up macvim in mac os catalina to work with LMTX

2020-04-21 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
Hi !

I am curious about testing macvim and it seems doing fine in edit mode. But how
do i set up the typesetting engine?

As far as I understand, there is, the command :ConteXt with guidance from the
wiki https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Vim

But I do not understand how to customize it to be directed to the path to my
engine

I’ve installed the LMTX in /Users/janneman/context-osx-64/

The installation works fine in TeXshop but still an error shows up in macvim
and the message dissappears very quick so there is not much time to read the
cause of error.

I have created the subdirectory .vim/ftplugin/ and put the context.vim file
there
also the corresponding in .vim/compiler/context.vim

which is copied from the program located in
/usr/local/Cellar/macvim/8.2-163/MacVim.app/Contents/Resources/vim/runtime

So, how do I get this up and running?

Thanks in advance

Regards

/Janne

Ok, thanks for your advice. It seems that it is better to do framework in
MetaFun and use svg picture as a component instead of opposite.

[NTG-context] Issue with rendering arrows in lmtx

2020-03-17 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
Hi All!

When I invoke this command

\startMPcode
picture p ; p := lmt_svg [ filename ="pil.svg" ];
draw p;
\stopMPcode

I get weird results, the arrowhead points in wrong direction and is very tiny
compared to the size it was meant to have.

Here is the .svg code from the saved file (pil.svg) made in Inkscape 0.92 for
Mac OS

http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/;

Is there som incompatibility issues with reading those files?

I’ve tested to open the file in SVGMaker and it renders correct there.

[NTG-context] European style Circuitikz error

2020-02-27 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
In page 8 inte e Circuitikz manual the settings to get European style
components e.g resistors like rectangular boxes instead of default looking.

It says this

\usemodule[circuitikz][american]

When I do this

\usemodule[circuitikz][european]

It gives an error.

 ! Package pgfkeys Error: I do not know the key '/tikz/short' and I am going to
ignore it. Perhaps you misspelled it.

So it must be some other way to set this, how do I make it possible?

Thanks in advance

[NTG-context] Error in MetaFun LMTX

The following code gives an error, my goal is to draw 4 different arrows but
only three functions successfully.

The error log shows

And the code is as follows

\startMPcode
path A ; A :=(0cm, -1cm)--(1cm, -1cm);
path B ; B :=(13.5cm, -1cm)--(14.5cm, -1cm);
path C ; C :=(12cm, -1cm)--(11cm, -1cm);
path D ; D : =(4cm, -1cm)--(3cm, -1cm);
drawarrow A; drawarrow B; drawarrow C ; drawarrow D ;

Unless I uncomment D it gives the above error.

[NTG-context] Label in externalfigures

2020-02-12 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
Dear Members!

I have a question on how to achieve something like this.

\IncludePicture[picture.pdf][xpos=2, ypos= 4, label=some text]

I know there is a similar function in the simple slides module but I need it in
my documents, often exams to my students, so caption is mainly not necessary.

The background to this is that I often creating pictures in Inkscape and export
it to pdf but sometimes I do screenshots and save it in .png or .pdf format. So
I just want to put labels in it like a layer in same size as the included
picture.

Or is this something that’s already solved so "reinventing wheel" is
unnecessary?

Thanks in advance

 Why is it doing that?

 Possibly because there was a bug in the version of the filter module
 (2011.12.17) that you are using.

 Actually, the reason is that now the filter module uses
 \usenamespacestyleandcolor to set style and color:

\getvalue{use#1styleandcolor}{#2}{#3}

 Since \use...styleandcolor was introduced after 2011.05.18, the \getvalue
 evaluates to \relax, and you see stylecolor (the value of #2 and #3) in the
 output.

[NTG-context] customized item list symbol/graphic

2010-12-11 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf

HI All Contexters out there!

I'm a Guy from sweden who will appreciate a possible solution to
following problem.

I'm interested in to do a personalized itemlist with a symbol created in
metapost.

Here is an example:

\startuniqueMPgraphic{square}
draw roundedsquare(20,20,2) withrgbcolor (.625,0,0);
\stopuniqueMPgraphic

\defineoverlay[square][\uniqueMPgraphic{square}]

\setupitemgroup
[itemize]
[1]
[symbol=square]

\starttext

\startitemize[1,columns]
\dorecurse{10}{\item itempoint \par}
\stopitemize

\stoptext

This doesn't have any effect so my question is how do I manage this?

I did following as an alternative solution and it worked as I wanted but
If I run this example the linebreak comes in to the next column(third
item), which is not what I want. See example below!

\definedescription
   [task]
   [text=\uniqueMPgraphic{square}, width=broad]

\startcolumns
\dorecurse{5}{\task very long sentence i will now write to create this
weird issue \par}

\stopcolumns

How do I prevent this, or is there a better solution?

Many thanks in advance

Janneman

There are two small problems with your example code:

\defineoverlay[square][\uniqueMPgraphic{square}]

That line should read

  \definesymbol[square][\uniqueMPgraphic{square}]

as you need a symbol, not an overlay

\startitemize[1,columns]

And this '1' should go away:

  \startitemize[columns]

because a '1' there is not a level, but a symbol identifier.

Best wishes,
Taco

Thanks that worked but how to manage more vertical whitespace?

Thanks that worked but how to manage more vertical whitespace?

Before and after the list you can set the vertical space with

\setupitemize
   [before={\blank[dimension  orkeyword]},
after={\blank[dimension  orkeyword]}]

and between the individual items with

\setupitemize
   [inbetween={\blank[dimension  orkeyword]}]

Wolfgang

None of the above setting worked for me. Even tried

\startitemize[columns,2*broad][inbetween={\blank[1cm]}]
...

\stopitemize

with no luck :-(

With the „columns“ keyword you get also packed items, to unset this
setting add „unpacked“ to your setup:

\startitemize[columns,unpacked,2*broad][inbetween={\blank[1cm]}]

Please make complete examples next time which can be used without
adding extra lines, e.g. this is what i used for your problem:

\starttext
\startitemize[columns,unpacked][inbetween={\blank[2*big]}]
\dorecurse{4}{\item text}
\stopitemize
\stoptext

Wolfgang

It worked! I will follow your advice next time!

Here is a test and the attached output and also the path of where the
fonts are placed in file font.dir and the output from mtxrun --script
fonts list museo* in fonts.list

Janneman

Can you test what happens with a minimal file:

\definefont[testfont][name:museo700]

\starttext
\testfont \input knuth
\stoptext

Is there some changes neccessary in those files?

No. type-exljbris works fine here.

The only other thing that I can think of is probably something wrong
with the PATH. Try running

mtxrun --script context 74.tex (rather than context 74.tex)

Why not simplefonts instead of typescript files, there is also a
definefont command

\definesimplefont[interludefont][Museo700 at 28pt]

For the interlude text the standard- or textmakeup environments are
perfect suited.

Done luatools --generate

still no finding fonts

Something seems to be wrong with the path but I set $OSFONTDIR to

Still no finding fonts

So it seems nothing wrong with the museo fonts (Thanks Wolfgang anyway !)

It is the same issue with the other fonts I've downloaded.

Ok thanks all for the reply.

As I understood the controlsequence \completepublications[criterium=all]

means that the cited titles is beeing listed not the un-cited. Therefore
the list should appear according to my example.

So I get in to it with \setuppublications[state=start] and see what happens.

The only sequence that has effect is

\completepublications[criterium=all]

and this shows only the cited titles as I wished but fairly expected.

So this should be clarified on the wiki or in bibmod-doc.

Type 1 This is a test.

Type 2 This is the second item

however, I got the overlapped output such as This is a test started
from the position of p in Type. Chaing number 4 in 4*broad to another

Is there a good way to do that?

Thank you.

[NTG-context] Howto make a handy script to handle dia exported *.mp files

2009-03-06 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
HI ALL!

According to an earlier post that was very much helpful, I now wish to
know how to write a shell script or similar to automate this exporting
process.

http://archive.contextgarden.net/message/20081124.122842.38fee2f4.en.html

I discover it is a lot of typing work to get these work as expected in
ConTeXt and specially mkIV.

Here is what i wish:

Just type in the ubuntu terminal

./mp2context figure.mp figure.tex

Inside the file mp2context it replaces all the latex related like
verbatimtex bla bla etex with \startuseMPgraphic{figure} and replaces
textareas

from btex { latex font definitions ..text..} etex

to \sometxt{..text..}

I saw Aditya mentioned in the earlier post about some regexp but I don't
know what do do with it.

Finally you just for example in main document do

\startproduct
\component figure

\placefigure[here][fig:myfig]{Here is my picture done in
dia}{\scale[width=\textwidth]{\useMPgraphic{figure}}}

\stoppproduct

Thanks in Advance!

[NTG-context] Howto make citations work in aps bibtex

2009-01-21 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
Hi All!

Have an issue getting \cite command working properly. Working on a
undergraduate thesis in physics and the bibliography.

I have read in bibmod-doc.pdf(Tacos manual) and also on the wiki about
how to make this work properly. So I did set this in the preamble of my
document. It sees the referenser.bib and a proper *.bbl file is
produced.

\usemodule  [bib]
\usemodule[bibltx]
\setupbibtex[database=referenser]
\setuppublications[alternative=aps,criterium=all]

\starttext
\cite[ref] does only display [1] as a result.
\stoptext

I tried \cite[authoryear][ref] but it gets some annoying results.
Because i want the result be like this in the output

Example: These statements has been declared by [authorlastname,(year)]

Please give a code sample how to make this work!

Thanks in advance!

 Why are you using the aps style if you don't want aps-style output?
 That does not make sense. It seems that apa is much closer to what
 you want?

 Best wishes,
 Taco

In apa-style there is author (year) appearance, and I just want
[authorlastname,(year)] result with those hooks.

 Well if it is easier to modify it in apa so it is better. Just that
aps=american physical society and I thought it has several
sub-standards. Just referring to what styles are used in several books
about physics. But maybe I have to investigate it further.

 The bib module has no support for just authorlastname (as opposed to
 author), if you want that then you have to edit the bbl file.

 For the rest of the citation formatting: it is easiest to
 define your own macro:

[NTG-context] Gedit in Ubuntu as a ConteXt editor

2008-12-02 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
HI ConTeXt friends!

I've been using Gedit on my ubuntu system for quite some time and is
very much happy with it.

Here are some advantages:

* UTF-8 encoding by default (which is in mind for LuaTeX).

* highly configurable code snippets. reading xml-files.

* Defining your own typesetting commands and associate it with some
keycombination.

Drawbacks

* Syntax highlighting for LaTeX but works for context-specific also

* I'm not sure if it is portable to windows

* Some learning curve to learn how to create special ConTeXt plugin like
this http://live.gnome.org/Gedit/LaTeXPlugin

I've recently tested texworks but it seems missing the snippets
capabilities.

Is it someone out there who has experience in Gedit?

[NTG-context] exported figures from DIA to Metapost including in document

2008-11-24 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
Hi All!

I'm in beginning to write a thesis in physics(undergraduate level) and
one of many things I wanna do is, cause I create much illustrations in
DIA http://www.gnome.org/projects/dia/
and the program can export to figure.mp, to include these in my
document.

I've read the instructions on http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Mpgraphic

I do not get this working. How is the best way to accomplish this?

The reason is why I want to do in this way is to input tex code in the
figure (especially math and symbol definitions) and optionally place
them in specific places inside the figure. By this method I can even do
better illustrations, hopefully.

My workflow has been like this:

1. Create the desired figure in DIA and choose the export option. TeX
metapost *.mp(see attached file ).

2. Tryed to do inclusion in a TeX-document like this

\startstaticMPfigure{magflux}
  the code in the attached file
\stopstaticMPfigure

\starttext

Here is my figure \usestaticMPfigure[magflux][width=0.8\textwidth]

\stoptext

But it fails with errormessage:

!Paragraph ended before \startstaticMPfigure was complete .

Should I place part of the code in some definitions?

3. To input textlabels in mathnotation optionally anywhere I want inside
the figure.

And also do something like

\placefigure[][fig:metapostfigure]{Here is the figure I made in DIA
converted to metapost}{\usestaticMPfigure[magflux][width=0.8\textwidth]}

so it also can be referred to in the text.

All best and thanks in advance!

Janneman

  Hi All!

  I'm in beginning to write a thesis in physics(undergraduate level) and
  one of many things I wanna do is, cause I create much illustrations in
  DIA http://www.gnome.org/projects/dia/
  and the program can export to figure.mp, to include these in my
  document.

  I've read the instructions on http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Mpgraphic

  I do not get this working. How is the best way to accomplish this?

 See the attached file. Dia exports the figure with
 verbatimtex
 latex
 etex

 which tells metapost to run labels through latex. I guess that this is
 what causes the errors. If you simply remove some of the boiler plate, the
 figure compiles fine (see attached file)

  The reason is why I want to do in this way is to input tex code in the
  figure (especially math and symbol definitions) and optionally place
  them in specific places inside the figure. By this method I can even do
  better illustrations, hopefully.

  My workflow has been like this:

  1. Create the desired figure in DIA and choose the export option. TeX
  metapost *.mp(see attached file ).

  2. Tryed to do inclusion in a TeX-document like this

  \startstaticMPfigure{magflux}
   the code in the attached file
  \stopstaticMPfigure

  \starttext

  Here is my figure \usestaticMPfigure[magflux][width=0.8\textwidth]

  \stoptext

  But it fails with errormessage:

  !Paragraph ended before \startstaticMPfigure was complete .

  Should I place part of the code in some definitions?

 I do not get this error, but staticMPfigure is not working for me. I would
 recomment not to use staticMPfigure, rather use useMPfigure.

 (I had asked Hans for staticMPfigure a few years ago when TeX-MP
 interaction was slow. Now, with MPLib I do not think that we need the
 staticMPfigure mechanism. Personally, I haven't used it for a while)

 I also had to add

 save x, y, t, p ;  Added this line

 to include the figure multiple times (or to include multiple figures, I
 would imagine).

Thanks to all answers. I got it work, though a minor problem left, it
seems that calligraphy is not working.

 If you are using MKII (running context using texexec filename), then do
 not use btex ... etex.[1] Use \sometxt{...} instead.
I am using MKIV
 I just used the following regex on your file
 %s/btex\s*\(.\)\s*etex/\\sometxt\1/g
 and then everything works fine.
This above I didn't understood. I did though replace with
\sometxt{\vec{\cal B}} but no effect.

 [1] It is possible to get correct fonts using btex ... etex also. You need
 to set up fonts in \startMPenvironment ... \stopMPenvironment. For most
 cases \sometxt is more convinient.

 Aditya
I tried to do some fontsettings, maybe it was the wrong way setting up
things. You can see in the updated file.

 This is not your fault. There is a bug in MKIV definition of \cal. Test
 example:

 \starttext
 \startMPcode
draw \sometxt{$\cal B$} ;
 \stopMPcode
 \stoptext

 does not give caligraphic B. For the time being, you can use a
 work-around of adding \noexpand before \cal.

 \starttext
 \startMPcode
draw \sometxt{$\noexpand\cal B$} ;
 \stopMPcode
 \stoptext

 Hans, Taco: Is it OK to add \unexpanded in the definition of cal

 \unexpanded\def\cal{\mathortext{\fam\purefamily{calligraphic}}{\symbolicfont{Calligraphic}}}
Can this line above be copied and pasted in to my personal module
file?

[NTG-context] context minimals path and directory structure question

2008-10-20 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
Hello!

I'm using  context-minimal version: 2008.10.01 19:13 and have a
generally question.

I'm writing several documents with similar structure and design and have
collected all common settings in settings.tex like following:

\startenvironment settings
...
...
...
\stopenvironment

and just do the usual invoking by

in

anything.tex

\environment settings

\starttext
...
...
...
\stoptext

I've installed the minimals structure in /home/$USER/context/... on my
ubuntu 8.04 machine.

Now to the question:

Where in this structure do I place settings.tex so it can be found
by context from anywhere in my document-structure?

I suppose I should do something like context --make after placing the
file. If I do the usual upgrade what happens then?

Is there a more efficient way doing similar tasks, like writing a
module?

All best!

[NTG-context] how to prevent document resize in acrobat reader when click on an ref object

2008-06-27 Thread Jan-Erik Hägglöf
HI!

I'm often use

\setupinteraction[state=start]
\setupcolor[state=start]

\starttext

\placesomething[somewhere][ref]{caption}
...
...
So in the text I refer to \in{something}[ref] so I can click on it in
the resulting pdf so I get there.

\stoptext

The question is how to change the default behavior so acrobat not
resizes the document on the screen when I'm clicking on the ref object.
I think it is annoying changing back to the reading size I had before.

Many thanks!

 You need the split parameter for \placetable.

I have minimal context installation installed in my $USER/ctx-test/
directory tree and have two questions.

First:

I've downloaded the 2007.02.16 zip and placed the containing 3 files

in my case
$USER/ctx-test/tex/texmf-context/tpm/t-gnuplot.tpm
$USER/ctx-test/tex/texmf-context/tex/context/third/gnuplot/t-gnuplot.tex
$USER/ctx-test/tex/texmf-context/metapost/context/base/mp-gnuplot.mp

Then $ mktexlsr
and then texexec gnuplot-test.tex

Following code in my tex file

\mainlanguage[sv]
\enableregime[utf]
\usemodule[gnuplot]
\setupGNUPLOT[terminal=mp]

\startGNUPLOTscript[datatest]
set xlabel Halloj
set ylabel hej
plot 'testdata.dat'
\stopGNUPLOTscript
\starttext
\useGNUPLOTgraphic[datatest]
\stoptext

gnuplot works ok on my system

but context cannot produce the pdf-file that includes in the document.
Complains about a missing gnuplot-test-gnuplot-1-mp-0.pdf( see
attached logfile)

Following files was created in the directory

The second question is how to make this work with the luatex engine?

Many thanks for any help in advance

It seems that the debian install on above repository not did work for me

I did the first-setup.sh script

 HI!

 I am trying to make Scite work in a context way by copying
 context.properties and friends, and it does work .

 The problem seems to be that make scite automatic be in utf8 mode. I
 have copying following parameters in the file .SciTEUser.properies by
 inserting following:

 LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.UTF-8
 output.code.page=65001

 but it seems not working when the program is restarted.

 All adjustments seems to be forgotten every time I restart.

 code.page=65001
 output.code.page=65001

This I've tried with no effect. Still the default alternative
8-bit instead of utf-8 is marked in file - encoding menu Therefore
I must remember to change that before i start writing, otherwise ååö
gets nasty.

Thanks for answer anyway

 Good to have more pals from sweden!

 Thanks for the answer, actually it was not what I meant.
 I already use \mainlanguage[sv], but how do you customize so it appears
 like: Bild 1 , Bild 2, .. or  whatever 1 whatever 2 .  or maybe

 \setuplabeltext[sv][figure=Bild ]

 if you want to referencing to subfigures like whatever 1a whatever 1b ?

 \placefigure[here][fig:dummy]
   {\startcombination[2*1]
  {\externalfigure[dummy]}{a}
  {\externalfigure[dummy]}{b}
\stopcombination}

 See \in{figure}{a}[fig:dummy] and \in{figure}{b}[fig:dummy].

 Greetings
 Wolfgang
