solution. :-) just one thing though, how do i produce Figure 1.1 or
Figure 1-1? Thanks so much for bearing with me. I still have a lot
to learn a lot about ConTeXt. :-)

Cheers! :-)

[NTG-context] \setupcaption stopper does not work in mkiv

2009-06-11 Thread jm

hi, all!

i have been trying to produce Figure 1. in the figure caption of my
document using mkiv and i just couldn't. i've searched through the
ntg-context archives and the net for solutions but none seems to
work. however, when i try the solutions posted (e.g.
\setupcaption[figure][stopper={.}]) using XeConTeXt or MKII, i get the
result i need. can anybody tell me how to go about this in mkiv?

also, how do you go about producing a Table 1.1 or a Table 1-1 in
the captions? couldn't find the answer in the manuals or in the web.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all! :-)

[NTG-context] { or } is not matched

2004-09-23 Thread wei jm
Hi, All

I always get the error message while compiling the following simple code

The error message looks like

! Argument of \dogettwopassdata has an extra }.
inserted text
to be read again
\actualshipout ... -1in \hbox {\setbox 0=\hbox {#1
  }\setbox \scratchbox =\hbo...

\myshipout ...ut {\thisisrealpage {\realfolio }#1}
  \fi \gotonextrealpage \nap...

\dofinaloutput ...pagebody #1#2\setpagecounters }}
  \fi \the \everyaftershipou...

\finaloutput ...ifgeselecteerd \dofinaloutput #1#2
  \else \donofinaloutput #1#...
l.6 \Subject{Eins}

? h

Whey I type h, I get the following information

I've run across a `}' that doesn't seem to match anything.
For example, `\def\a#1{...}' and `\a}' would produce
this error. If you simply proceed now, the `\par' that
I've just inserted will cause me to report a runaway
argument that might be the root of the problem. But if
your `}' was spurious, just type `2' and it will go away.

But the problem is every  } is matched, there is no extra } or {
which is not matched. I am totally confused :-(.

Thanks  in advance!

[NTG-context] how to get an image format flowchart

2004-01-21 Thread wei jm
 I have a problem while using context to create some flowcharts. The beginning of
my tex source file looks like:

 Naturally I got a flowchart in pdf version. But a pdf version flowchart is
not suitable for inserting into a paper or a report. Then I try to use software to
convert it from pdf format into some other imgage formats. But none of them was
I wonder how can I direct get a flowchart in some imgage formats (e.g. in png, jpg
format) from the source tex file. Are there some
tricks in the settings of the tex source file?

   Thanks in advance!
